This place was awesome!! As soon as I walked in, I was met with a smile and a warm welcome. I was there to meet a few other women and I was led to the reserved table and on the way to the table, I saw a fee more employees who all greeted me with a polite smile. They gave me a few moments to say hello to the others I was meeting and then came back to take a drink order since the girls I was sitting with had already ordered drinks. I appreciated that they waited long enough to settle in and take a look at the drink menu. The Mangia Mango was delicious. We later ordered bruschetta and sausage & red peppers as appetizers (antipasto). I love bruschetta and I think this is my new favorite place for it. The sausage and red peppers were very flavorful as well, I'm not a huge fan of sausage in general but it was pretty good. The red peppers were so good! The food was phenomenal 😋 If I'm honest, I was expecting the food to be on the bland side but I was pleasantly surprised!! I like spicy food but I was also there to chat with colleagues so I was very happy to taste some spiciness but not so overwhelming that I could keep up with conversation without looking like a mess. The portion size felt a bit big after the appetizers but for the price, I felt it was perfect. I ended up eating half but that's because my favorite part was next : dessert! I absolutely love tiramisu so I had to try it. It was so good that although I was full, I ate it all!! It's often made in such a way that it feels heavy but this one was not. I was quite thankful for that because I wanted to keep eating it and not feel like I was going to blow up. Lol anywho, I loved the place, the food, the staff. I heard great things about their pizza and I can't wait to be...
Read moreThis review has been a long time coming but I have got to sing this place's praises. In late winter 2024, my niece & I brought my 98 y.o. mom for an early dinner. I'd looked online for their hours and we arrived at 3:20 with a woman on a walker who had not ventured out of her house for 6 months, so quite the ordeal. We first accidentally walked her into the deli entrance where the worker told us the restaurant was a different door. Gah! We had to back up and slowly walk her around cars to the main door where Deli Man (and I'm pissed at myself for forgetting his name now) met us and was the cutest thing, verbally cheering us on. It was a hoot with 2 Greek women trying to get the 3rd elderly Greek gal into an Italian restaurant. Finally we got her in and Deli Man was standing next to our server who he introduced us to. Server walked us slowly to a table and I remarked how empty the place was; he casually said it was because they were closed. "Closed?! Online says you're open!" He said, oh we are closed from 3:00 to 5:00 (or something like that) and we have a sign on the door saying so. I was mortified and apologized and asked why they took us in, then? He said, well you are here and we will take care of you. Everyone was so kind and solicitous of my mother, and Server and Chef presented us with the most delicious old-school food. We felt utterly free to stay and enjoy and talk and laugh for quite a long time, when diners who know how to read signs on doors started showing up for dinner. If you crave good old-fashioned American-Italian food of quality and fine service, this is the place. The exterior is unassuming but the interior is lovely, cozy, clean, and nicely decorated. 6...
