I’ve been coming here for 15 years. Every time I visit family in the area I come here. If you want to support a well run local business and have a fast meal, stop here! Probably some of the best Mexican food you can get in Wyoming. And not a tourist trap.
Overall, the food is good, the price is good, the service is good, and the salsa is awesome. What more can you ask for?
The food is pretty authentic and tasty. They have really solid enchiladas, and great lunch combination plates. The portions are decent too. My favorite is always the Chile Verde or Chile Colorado. Tortillas are fresh and warm. The only thing to watch out for is I’m pretty sure they put the plates in a broiler or oven to melt the cheese, so the plates can be hot!
The service is always good when I’ve been, and the owners are very kind. It’s owned and operated by a single family. It’s a great spot for groups!

Read moreDecent for Mexican food in Wyoming. It wasn’t bad but it definitely wasn’t like, “Wow! This is the best.” Being from SoCal, it’s honestly hard to compare Mexican food in other places—nothing is ever as flavorful or as fresh. I got the combination platter with picadillo (shredded beef) enchilada, pork tamal, and chile relleno. It also came with rice and beans. Like I said, it was decent. My husband got the pork chile verde. Normally we’re used to shredded pork in chile verde but this was more like a pork chop cut up into bite size chunks. He wasn’t totally stoked on the sauce and felt it lacked flavor and needed a lot of salt. Service was also just average. The waitress wasn’t really friendly but she wasn’t NOT friendly either…she was kind of just going through the motions to push people in and out, and get through the day. I will say the prices were reasonable. We got two entrees and two beverages (non-alcoholic) for $50 and that...

However, with the new management/ owner (?), my fav dish, camarones en Salsa Verde is no longer consistent in quality. Last month, shrimp was over cooked but the salsa verde was perfect. Last evening, shrimp cooked perfectly but sauce was so spicy that I was unable to eat my dinner. l and I'm not a spice timid eater. Had to ask for some sour cream. On a scale of 1-5, the sauce was a 5, maybe even a 6!. Also the consistency of sauce was not creamy and smooth like before.
Also diners beware that tip is now automatically added to your bill. When paying via the mobile credit card machine, it ask if you want to add tip. If you're super pleased with your dinner and service, sure go ahead and tip extra. But some diners are not aware that tip had already been added. Just a heads up, not griping about...
