I hate to write bad reviews for places, especially a Subway where you usually know what to expect.
But man, avoid this place. Insanely rude staff (what seemed to be one of the owners).
Came here after Six Flags to grab a bite to eat before the drive back to Boston. Was with four people, including my partner, who ordered a drink to share with me. I go up to the machine for the third time to refill with water because we didn't want anymore soda, to be shouted at from the woman at the cash register saying that I can't just go up "10 times" to refill. Now, I have been to many Subways, and NEVER have I heard that free refills from the machine sitting out in the sitting area aren't actually free. After asking her if the refills were free, she scathingly responds that they are indeed free, but that I can't refill it however many times I wish. Just to be clear, I informed her that I was going to get water in the first place; she tells me go ahead, that she will be watching me, continuing to threaten me by telling me that she "has me on camera". ALL OVER A REFILL OF A DRINK THAT COMES WITH FREE REFILLS.
First of all, if you don't want your customers to have your advertised free refills, put the machine behind the counter so that it's clear what are your policies, or at least ADVERTISE that you don't have free refills or that there's some unspoken limit. Second, if you are going to have free refills, once you sell the consumer your product, that consumer is allowed to do what he or she wishes to do with that product. If he wishes to share that product with his partner, or even with his friend, that's his own prerogative and you can't just go and change the rules in the middle of the game.
Finally, this entire situation could have been dealt with in so many more professional ways it's insane. Please don't shout at me from behind your counter, refusing to treat me like the customer who just paid you money. A polite, "Excuse me sir, while the drinks do come with refills, we encourage customers to purchase their own drinks after a certain number of refills," is entirely more professional than "HEY, I HAVE YOU ON CAMERA YOU CAN'T HAVE ANY MORE REFILLS."
It's funny how rude, unprofessional employees, and even owners in this case, can leave such a sour taste in your mouth. The food could have been awful, moldy, bugs crawling out of it, and I probably wouldn't have written this review. But an experience like this completely warrants this review so that the owners know and can run their business professionally, like a real business owner; and that customers that just want to get some food and not be rudely confronted for refilling their drink after a nice day at Six Flags know before they come to this place.
If the owners ever read this (which I doubt they will because they obviously don't care about their customers at all), I'll be contacting...
Read moreI am a dasher for DoorDash. I went to pick up a gentleman’s food and the person working at the time has purple hair and facial piercings. When I showed her the name of my DoorDash order, the worker said that they were not sure where they had put it, and started to frantically look in all the ovens and around the kitchen. They had told me that someone has already picked it up, I contacted DoorDash and they stated that nobody And I was assigned the order. DoorDash asked me to have her remake it and they would re-send in the ticket so Subway would get paid. When I Had told them what DoorDash said, they stated that it was going to be taken out of their check and got angry. I let them know that DoorDash was going to resend in the ticket, and they gave me a hard time about remaking the order. When I questioned them on somebody, taking the order, they said that they were the only person working, and they didn’t have time to verify that all Dashers were picking up the correct orders. They stated that somebody walked in and said, that was their order, took the food, and left. They then proceeded to be rude to another gentleman who came in to pick up a DoorDash order as well. When they were done remaking the food, they handed it to me aggressively, and I told them to have a good night, which, then they gave me attitude. It’s extremely unprofessional, having somebody work solely in a restaurant, closing, who clearly displays lack of maturity and a business mindset. It’s quite shocking the lack of DoorDash training that this worker has received. I hope that I do not encounter that worker again when DoorDash because they were Nasty with attitude. 0 stars...
Read moreStopped in to place an order. Waited 5-10 minutes to order after the only other customer in the store. When it was my turn was told “just so you know it’s gonna be a while” when asked what a while was he said “like 25 minutes maybe longer” because he had backed up online orders. Since when do online orders take priority over someone ordering in person? I walked out, went next door to Pizza House and ordered a grinder for less money and was told 10 minutes maybe less for my freshly prepared grinder. If you can’t handle in store orders with one employee maybe shut off online ordering during prime hours. Just a suggestion because no one in their right mind is gonna wait in person for 30-35 minutes for a chain restaurant over...
