Guayabos Sea Breeze — Restaurant in Aguada

We had a great experience overall because our server was so so sweet and helpful. The food was good, too. But I had a bit of an issue with the Mahi Mahi. I eat a lot of seafood and have never had an issue with anything before, but when eating it, I started noticing my mouth go raw and tingly. This same thing happened to my husband and we couldn’t finish my meal. Our server was so kind to offer to swap it out but we were so tired we couldn’t be bothered and wanted to get home. We were told this hasn’t happened before and many people eat it with no problem, but I do think that maybe I got Scombroid food poisoning from the way the fish was prepared or stored. Aside from that, it tasted delicious, the whole red snapper we had was also phenomenal as was the fried cheese balls, and the mamposteado. So I do hope this can be a gentle reminder for the kitchen to keep fresh fish safely stored...

Customers were left waiting in line for over an hour without being provided a given explanation or apology. Security guard was standoffish. Waitressing staff were standing by simply chatting instead of at least offering a table or a drink option / menu. Kitchen staff were running behind and management was missing in action. We asked if we could sit at the bar and order a drink while waiting. We were told "no" because that would create a "mess". Meanwhile; other people went right by us and escorted to the bar area. Drinks / beers were even taken out and served to tourist / another party waiting in line; way at the end of the line. When inquiring; we were told it was our choice to wait and since then given a sarcastic and ironic attitude by our waitressing staff. Unacceptable! We should all be treated equally. So this place is ok. MIDD The service was good but then I guess the owner or someone else in the back showed up and was kind of weird. Asked us something but we didn’t understand. Seemed like he was drunk. It was just weird. (Yes I speak spanish) so I know I wasn’t crazy when I didn’t understand. It seems like he was speaking in tongues or asl. now the food was ok. It was overly salty and it was alright over all.NOT WORTH THE PRICE! I recommend somewhere else. Sadly I wouldn’t go back. But again waiters...
