We went with a party of 12. I understand that makes things difficult for the servers & kitchen staff. Our problem was 1, the waitress was very rude. 2. The food took excessively long and we weren't even the courtesy of an update on how long the food would take. 3 people in our group got their food after 30 minutes 6 after about 40 minutes and 3 of the last 4 decided to take the food to go. I told the waitress not to bother with the chicken sandwich with french fries. It had taken to long & I lost my appetite. I had a discussion about the food and service with the manger. I tried explaining that we were served to many soft drinks & 1 needed to be taken off the bill. It was a sealed can. Waitress had said she couldn't remove it from the bill because their system is computerized?? I also told them that charging $35 dollars for a skirt steak, one of the cheaper cuts of steak, was ridiculous. I wanted my sandwich off the bill along with the soft drink. The answer I get from the manager is that if we wanted better cheaper service,we should go to Burger King. It took a lot of will power not to jump over the counter and really show the guy how I felt after he spoke to me that way. I hope the owner of the establishment has a conversation with the manager & the waitress. This conduct is totally unacceptable 😤 My advice is go rte 115 toward Rincón for about 1 mile. You will find a restaurant on the right that has better &...

When the Puerto Rican rain starts falling, beach plans get washed out—but sometimes, that’s when the real island magic kicks in. Instead of sunbathing, we cruised along Route 115 after checking out some property in Aguada. A quick detour led us to the balneario, where we soaked in the laid-back vibe before our stomachs demanded attention.
Enter: Olaja’s, sitting right next door like a hidden gem waiting to be devoured.
First off, the beer is ice cold—exactly what the doctor ordered on a humid island afternoon. We kicked back with a couple of cold Medallas and were immediately impressed by how friendly and attentive the staff was. Even better? The locals welcomed us with open arms. A couple of gringos looking for a bite and a buzz? No problem here.
Now, let’s talk about the food: the bolas rellenas de queso? Absolute perfection—crispy outside, gooey cheese bomb inside. The empanadillas? Hands down the best on the island. Flavor-packed, golden, and addictive. We considered ordering a second round just to make the moment last.
The cherry on top? The killer views from the patio. Even in the rain, Aguada’s coastline has a way of making you stop and appreciate the slower moments.
Olaja’s isn’t just a pit stop—it’s a must-stop. Whether you're beach-hopping or just cruising the island, this spot’s got the food, the beer, and the vibes dialed...
Read moreThis used to be a very lively place with hundreds of pelicans diving into the sea and it was great. The beers used to served very cold but it looks like it’s cha bed hands . The food we order of snapper was not fresh and the fish tasted very stale and used oil was used to cook the fries so they were full of oil . Empanada were fried in stale oil too and they were full of oil which is consistent with not changing oil frequency to save on expenses of cooking oil . Terrible food beer was cold but not as cold as it used to be two years ago when we visited . Was so looking forward but got disappointed. Only one member of staff who attends all the bar requirements and the payments for the food too and had no time to talk to me when I tried twice to ask him questions about beer. Will not be bothered to visit again . For the prices they charge for food at least you don’t expect food full of oil dripping. Parking on the...
