UPDATE: 7/28/23 Food is now worst than ever. This restaurant is about to go out of business soon if they’re continue cooking the way the do. Service is also bad. This is so sad because it has the potential. I come here because it’s the closest restaurant to me. Food is “ok” service is not great. Price is reasonable but you must pay attention because sometimes prices vary (increase) even though you’ve ordered the same thing before. When you ask them, they always have an excuse. The last excuse they gave me was… PR is running low on plantains and that’s why we are charging you more. Well… I guess they should’ve said that when I first placed the order and not after the fact. Not all chefs are good cooks. That’s another bad thing. You never know who’s in the kitchen until they serve your food and that’s when you realize it’s a new chef or a check / cook with NO experience. Try not to order food to go. Wow! Definitely recommend this restaurant. We stopped for dinner on the way to the airport and everyone in the family wad pleased with their meal. The pizza and lasagna are delicious, as was the stuffed parmesan chicken breast (definitely enough food for 2 people). The meat, mofongo, and broth meals were tasty and very filling, but the Mofongo Napolitano was the real winner. I wouldn't. Just...keep going on down the road of life. I ordered the monchongo with chicken. The chicken resembled nothing even close to chicken. Gristle fried in dirty grease. My brother-in-law couldn't even cut through a piece with a knife. I don't say this lightly and I rarely say it but it was nasty. We love trying new places when we travel and we love supporting the local economy and not big chains. But an experience like this makes us understand why chains exist.
