I hope that as many people as possible read this before you visit this restaurant. I also hope that the General Manager and/or the Owner of the restaurant reads it as well so they can take corrective action.
Please know that this is my review/opinion regarding the service experience we received from the members of the staff and not anything related to the food/meal. It was fine. My order # was 748751.
This restaurant was recommended by my nephew who lives in the neighborhood and who I am visiting from NYC. On Saturday, Jul. 10th, at approximately 6:00 pm. I invited six members of my family for dinner to what I hope was going to be nice pleasant time. After placing our order with the cashier, I walked into the dining room. There was a large party already seating. They had moved most of the tables together , leaving only 2 tables left. A few minutes after the large party left, an employee, a heavy set young lady with braided long hair and fake eye lashes entered the room, obviously with an angry attitude. She started moving and re-arranging the metal chairs (approx.16 chairs) and tables from one side of the room to the other on the cement floor, making a very Loud metal scratching noice. She did this for a long time. After a while, I said loudly, "Will we be able to have a pleasant time while we eat?" After a few minutes, she came back to the room with another, older lady/employee and started to empty the garbage cans making a lot of disturbing noises. The other lady clearly said “Make it louder, make it louder.” At this point it was clear that their intentions were to disturb our dinner. I then walked back and approached the cashier in a very respectful manner but I was upset with the quality of service we were receiving. I asked to speak with their supervisor, but the cashier gave me a defensive and upset attitude. She told me that there was no manager and that they were all responsible for the shift. I explained what was happening in the dining room and complained about the employee; but she replied, "if you don’t like the noice, you should have stayed home."
When my niece her what was happening, she ask the cashier to be more respectful and the cashier was also rude with her. They started arguing and I then decided to leave the restaurant, but felt very disappointed. I told my niece, “Forget it. Don’t argue with her. She doesn’t care because she is not the owner.” This is obviously a poorly managed restaurant or at best, a restaurant with an absentee owner. Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer at Los Gapos Sandwiches in Aguadilla, spending over $500 yearly and often recommending the place to others. Today, I had a disappointing experience. While ordering fried chicken with rice, I noticed one of the last pieces from the old batch still had feathers on it. I politely asked to be served a piece from the fresh batch that had just come out, and the staff agreed.
Despite this, when my order was served, they still gave me the old piece with feathers—the very one I specifically requested to avoid. It’s frustrating that such a simple request couldn’t be honored, especially for a regular customer like me. Although this may seem extreme, I will not be returning to this place or recommending it to others. If fulfilling a simple request like mine was too much for them, I can’t trust them to handle more serious concerns, such as preventing cross-contamination, accommodating allergy requests, or managing other potential food...
Read moreIf I could rate 0 stars on service I would. Jennibeth took the order over the phone and was very rude. Once there to pick up the order we waited at the pick up window without being acknowledged. When she arrives at the window I thought she was going to hand me the order and when I asked if it was our order she gave me a nasty look and said to stand on the other window for pick up. Literally 4 steps to the side. When she goes to that window she takes the payment and goes to the first window for me to pick up where she first said was NOT the pick up window and I asked her didn't you say that the other one was the pick up window? She said NO that's the paying window. It's ashame that they have people like that working for...
