I went here 3 separate times in 1 week...
EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS. Seriously though, everything is just damn delicious, made with care, and Portions are fairly generous.
This is the place you take your "Instagram postable only" friend AND your "I'm only getting good food" friend.
Saturday was noticeably less busy and quieter than Friday, staff was accommodating and spoke both English and Spanish if needed. They serve a fun twist on local and American dishes so you'll always get something you've never thought of and it'll be great.
The coffee is excellent, highly recommend the American cappuccino. It's different from a regular cappuccino, the American cappuccino has whipped cream and cinnamon.
All meat was perfectly cooked, never had anything under or over cooked, they answer the phones, bathrooms are CLEAN and stocked, AND they WILL let you sit down and order a FRESH made meal 15 minutes before closing.
The winners for me: Churrasco mofongo - menu says it's Yuca but I'm 99% sure it's breadfruit. It's unbelievably delicious, best eaten fresh
Any of the "Benedicts" - the hollaindaise sauce is extra vinegary and ties in the flavor of whatever protein is in the dish, great work
The arroz salteado criollo - literally imagine Puerto Rican fried rice. It's perfect
Ask for the potatoes to have extra seasoning, you won't regret.
BUT TRY EVERYTHING! If it interests you, you'll like it.
Thank you for the lovely experience, we will be back....
Read moreMy husband and I love eating at MONA in Aguadilla for the past two years. Food is very good and so is the service. The week of August 17, 2017 our family vacationed in this area for 5 days, us and our two boys. We drove to Mona straight from the airport because we wanted our boys to experience the beautifully decorated food Mona is known for. After breakfast the boys were excited and feeling funny they decided to change into their bathing suits in the car and so we headed straight to CrashBoat. Two-three hours later as we check into the hotel we realize a suitcase is missing. What a bummer! Our 21 year olds summer outfits gone! We took a few steps back and replayed every step and my husband decided to drive back to Mona. I said to my son "these Puerto Rican folks will not keep the suit case it will be returned I know my people." Guess what, a young lady working at Mona found the suitcase leaning up against the wall of the small parking area. My expensive suitcase and his belongings were safe. The lady joked about the naked tourist returning for the suitcase.lol.
This place and the workers are the bomb!
So proud of...
Read moreThe customer service at Mona's is unparalleled to any restaurant experience I have ever had!
The staff welcomed a group of 15 people 1 hour before closing for dinner. They did not rush us to complete our food and everyone had a dish within 40 minutes of ordering, despite such a large group! This place was not very busy for dinner either, but oh man, Mona is a perfect place for dinner with uplifting, cool vibes. The waitresses were polite, easy to understand, and beautifully professional. They helped us take our group photo, too!
Food comes in large portions full of rich new flavors, combined with familar american comfort foods. I had The Banquet as well as the Mata la Gata iced coffee drink. The blended iced coffee drink was pistachio/macademia flavored, which I have never experienced before. The desserts looked amazing but I was too full to grab one. Overall, the amount I spent was around $21 excluding a $5.21 tip because this place is absolutely worth all the praise and gratuity.
Please come here, if you're worried it may be busy,...
