The Beer Box — Restaurant in Aguadilla

This place seemed like an attractive option because the menu and beers were creative and exciting, but the execution did not match the ambition.

Pros Burgers were cooked thoroughly and did not make us sick Fries were made in-house which is usually a really good sign Ten ounce pours are the perfect size for trying multiple taps Beers had no odd/off flavors

Cons Appetizer was brought out along with entrees (why even have appetizers on the menu???) Service was confusion (bar service even for restaurant seating?) Flavors of food and beers were mediocre, bland, and incredibly disappointing Bathroom soap dispenser was broken, one can only guess for how long (genuinely hope the staff have their own separate bathroom…)

It gives me no pleasure to leave a negative review; I am attempting to be as charitable as possible, but the bottom line is this place was not...

They have good food and good beer, but kinda strange hospitality. One time I came here and was buying a $16 crowler and the shorter girl told me that I could only have two tasters of beer. If im buying a crowler I want to be sure its the beer that I acutally want. I came here tonight and I bought a 16 oz crowler. The keg ran out while they were filling the crowler. After several minutes they changed the keg and topped off the partially filled crowler. Suprise suprise the beer was flat...came back after watching sunset and told the guy that served me that beer was flat. The same girl from first time told him to give me a 10 oz beer to replace it. Why they would not honor their product and replace the flat beer I bought with a non-flat one? I will never know. There is not much craft beer in there area so I will just have to deal...

Fantastic beer (the pale ale was my favorite) that centers around fruity tastes, though they have options for those of us which prefer a more bitter flavor. They had about 8 local varieties on tap, and another 8 imported crafts from the mainland. I would recommend starting with flights of the local craft beers (4 beers per flight) and picking one you like. Then just settle in and enjoy. They also have board games and the like for you to play if you're interest in that. The crowd varied between groups of younger folks enjoying an after work beer to families...
