Bento Box PR — Restaurant in Aguadilla

Bento Box is located in a prime spot with plenty of parking, making it super convenient for a quick stop or a longer stay to enjoy your meal. I ordered the fried chicken bento with rice and Kyabetsu Salad, and overall, I was pleased with the flavors. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the portion size was just right.

Having lived in Japan for several years, I noticed a couple of small details that could bring the authenticity of the bento even closer to the real deal. First, the rice should never be drizzled with the meat sauce—in this case, the chicken sauce. It's best to keep the rice plain, letting the individual components shine on their own. Additionally, the Kyabetsu Salad (cabbage salad) could benefit from thinner cuts, making it easier to grab with chopsticks.

We visited Bento Box not too long ago and had a nice experience. The food seemed fresh and tasty and had very nice flavors. We ordered different dishes, and all were flavorful, and the presentation was nicely done.

The service folks were friendly and personable and inviting. This establishment is one of a few eateries of different genre of food, food truck style adjacent to the pharmacy. There is a restroom available for patrons to use. But it was also noticed that the hours of the stores were not all the same. When we came to visit, it was only Bento Box that was open.

If you guys are in the area, you have to try this place. The food was fantastic! I had the silky Thai noodles with char chicken, tried my husband’s panko salmon and my sister’s BBQ short ribs (drool worthy). They also have a special jasmine tea with cinnamon that is both refreshing and tasty. This food was so tasty and the service was incredibly phenomenal that I’ll be back before I leave. 🥰 2025 update: Came back to PR and of course we had to hit up Bento Box (actually twice 🤤).
