Waffle House — Restaurant in Aiken County

After a lifetime of Waffle House meals, I am done with them. This last menu change leaves very little selection along with the price increases. My last ever visit was an order from this new and drastically unimproved menu and was intended to be just a quick bite as I was in a hurry. Two eggs, toast & hashbrowns. The menu listed this combo at $4.50. The waitress, as she handed me the check, informed me that she had gotten "permission" to only charge me $4.50.! What? I actually asked her to repeat what she had said as it wasn't processing in my mind why she needed permission from the manager to sell me a menu item for the price on said menu. I guess they have only included their top profit items on this new menu since most of what I normally order is gone bye bye. Just a couple of examples of items I normally order include the Fiesta Omelet and the Bacon Lettuce & Tomato sandwich. I hate it but I am done. It was a great, informal and inexpensive meal stop for many, many years. Thanks Waffle House for the good times. I'll miss you.

Unit 616 Aiken SC! When I walked in to this Waffle House there was no greeting. They were not busy but it took forever to get service. I watched my food sitting and getting cold before it was finally delivered. The server carried the food out with my sausage plate stacked on top of my boyfriend's sandwich. YOU DONT PUT PLATES ON TOP OF FOOD!!!! My cheesy eggs had more brown than yellow because they were so scorched. My jelly packet had been on someone else's plate, it had a hole in it and It was covered in pepper and toast crumbs. I had no pepper on my plate. I watched the cook reach over on the high-bar with her gloves on, get a bottle of water unscrew the lid take a drink put the lid back on, set the bottle back on the high-bar and go back to cooking without ever changing her gloves. Again a huge no no! Will not go back...

Had my son go there to place a to go order because you can’t ever get anyone to answer the phone and they refused to take his order. This all happened around 7:15pm on 9/17/22. There was a family of five two adults and 3 kids right behind my son who went to dine in and they refused to serve them also. Apparently the workers want to work but they don’t want to serve anybody so they are either lazy or just incompetent. This particular waffle was a little iffy with there service before it got remodelled now it’s just went straight to toilet. Since they don’t seem to want to serve anybody maybe they should just fire everyone and close shop. I would not recommend this particular waffle to anyone. We ended up placing our order on phone at 1139 York street instead which is 7or8 miles north on...
