UPDATE 02/09/2025 After hesitantly going to Burger King today at this location I really feel the need to update my last review of Burger King at this specific location because it is now definitely at another level of awesomeness! Yes, in my honest opinion, it is now deserving of a five-star review. So I ordered the number one with fresh onion rings like I always do. Even though I don't mind waiting I do have to mention that I didn't have to wait forever in line, the food came out fast. What really matters to me though, was the quality of the food that I just had today at Burger King. My sandwich was not slathered in mayonnaise with wilted lettuce. No dripping wattery mayonnaise running down my sandwich making my bread all soggy, nope it was fresh and prepared the right way. My order of FRESH onion rings were so fresh that they were burning my mouth and I don't mind that at all. Customer service was professional, awesome, polite, courteous. And if you're reading this at 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 in the morning, let me just give you a heads up, they're open 24 hours now too! So yes, my old review for sure, for sure was in need of an update, and here it is... FIVE stars! Thank you BK for giving me today my money's worth! UPDATE 02/09/2025
I ordered a Whopper Jr with small onion rings at the Vernom Odom location in Akron, Ohio and I'm never stepping foot there again. I went through the drive thru, got my order and thanked the cashier, why we as customers say thank you instead of the cashier's not saying thank you is a little backwards these days but anyway that's not the reason for my low rating. I pull off with my order and while at the first light I pull out a cold wobbly onion ring, I turn back around, checked the rest of the onion rings, they were all cold and wobbly, I walk in to Burger King and I patiently wait while the cashier with zero personality completes the order for the customer in front of me. I hand her my receipt when she blankly asked if something was wrong, I tell her my onion rings were cold she looks at the receipt then spins around to fill a new container of onion rings when all of a sudden she decides to ask if those onion rings she was filling up the new container with had just came up, I'm guessing the response was no because she dumped them back in, spins back around and heads to the back of the restaurant I guess to put a fresh batch to fry, she comes back out to take another order for a gentleman that had just walked in, tells me there's a new batch in the fryer. After she takes his order she looks at the onion rings I brought back, still sitting on the counter and asked me if I wanted them, I tell her no cause of course who wants to eat cold wobbly onion rings? She leaves them there on the counter. The fryer starts beeping, she spins around again to fill up a new container of onion rings and puts them in my bag, without a word, and turns around. No "sorry for your inconvenience" or have a good day or even a thank you, after all I could have went to McDonald's right across the street instead, I could of went to Rally's or Church's? But because I see the competition between 4 different franchises, I take turns with each one every time I order out well I guess I can take this restaurant out of the equation. Cold fries, cold onion rings, cheeseburger missing the cheese or soda ordered with no type of sugar can happen and happens every day in every franchise but customer service is what makes up for human error or for staff who could care less about the quality of the food you're purchasing with your hard earned money, money you received in your paycheck from dealing with angry customers, customers you have to apologize to, almost every day, for the mistakes others did, mistakes you had nothing to do with. I walked away with my food, food I didn't enjoy, and those same onion rings I initially brought in, stood sitting right there on the counter... God only knows if she threw them back in with the new batch, after all at least half of the batch she gave...
Read more-5 Stars Food was nasty! The food tasted like they swept the floor and used the trash to make the order. The fries and onion rings were cold and greasy. The chicken nuggets were reheated too many times. They had a under taste of dirt. The food was so disgusting it was thrown out the window.
Service was awful. No one took anyone's order for the first 5 mins standing in the restaurant. The person that's was in the front of the restaurant gave her 6 kids free food. She took the time to prepare orders for her kids and family. The person in line before me had to wait 5+ minutes for her to prepare their food first. The next person in line picked up a Doordash order that took another 5+ mins to prepare. When it was time to take my order. She came up to the counter. She asked to take my order. She said she didn't know how to ring lunch. She said she works the breakfast shift. She walked away from the counter for 2-3 minutes. Came back and said I get off in two minutes. You have wait for someone to take the order. A manager showed her how to ring up the order. The manager told her to clear the line of customers before she leaves. She asked the person behind me if she could take her order. Then she walked away from the counter for 5-6 minutes. Another person working the Drive Thru came to the front counter and asked if I was lost. He went back to the drive thru. He came back and asked if he could help. A man a few customers back asked he was going take orders. He replied someone will get to you eventually. Repeating EVENTUALLY!
The woman that was working the front finally came back. She said she clocked out. Everyone in line had to wait on the manager to come back from the restroom. People began complaining walking out the store. The manager returned and I asked for a refund. The woman said here is your order as the manager said i wanted a refund. She slammed the bag down and said i dont have time for this. She walked out with her 6 kids and family. The manager had to dig for the receipt to give e refund. It took so long, I took the order just so I could leave.
Atmosphere was nasty and dirty. There was dead flies on the counter near the register. One was still dying! Kitchen area looked dirty and nasty. Other customers were pointing at the dead flies before turning around...

I know for a fact that that’s not what The company stands on a she she be terminated! The bathrooms are disgusting, the lobby is slippery cause the floors are obviously not cleaned correctly, the pop dispenser haven’t been soaked in ages and the overall appearance behind the counter is Disgusting; send help or I see that Burger King closing down real soon; and Send Shelly back to Washington dishes cause she’s definitely not a...
