Family Vansa Ghar Restaurant and Bar offers a wonderful dining experience with a well-balanced mix of authentic flavors, a spacious and aesthetic ambiance, and a setup ideal for both private and family dinners. The restaurant features a separate bar area with more options and privacy, as well as a distinct dining area, making it versatile for different occasions. They also serve buffets, adding to the variety of choices available.
During my visit, I tried the Gobi Manchurian, Paneer Makhani, and Chicken Thali. The paneer was exceptionally soft and rich in flavor, while the gobi had a slight tangy kick, making it quite delicious. The chicken thali was not only reasonably priced but also one of the best dishes I had.
Must-tries: Chowmein, Fried Rice, and Momo – all staples of Nepali and Indo-Chinese cuisine that showcase their authenticity.
The restaurant maintains a simple yet elegant aesthetic, making it a comfortable space for gatherings. The only downside is that there is no wheelchair accessibility, which could be improved.
Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for those looking for a mix of traditional Nepali and Indian flavors with excellent vegetarian and vegan-friendly options. Highly...
Read moreI was sorry to learn that Namaste Cuisine had closed. So, when I saw that this Nepali restaurant had opened just two weeks ago, I decided to give it a try. I'm very glad I did.
I started with g** soup. (I'm sorry, but I can't remember the spelling of the name, other than that it started with a g.) Delicious! I ate it slowly, because it had lots of different delicious flavors and I didn't want to overlook any of them. Basically a broth, with different Nepali spices, onions, and some type of dried leaf that I couldn't identify.
Then, for the main course, I had lamb tikamasala, lamb cubes in a wonderful tomato cream sauce, served over a very generous portion of rice with cumin seeds. Again, I ate it slowly, because there were all sorts of different tastes, and I wanted to enjoy them all.
I also tried their nam bread, and found it very tasty as well.
In short, it was a great dining experience, and I will...
Read moreThe best Indian food in Akron and surrounding area thus far!! I’m spoiled coming from the west coast where we have plenty of amazing Indian restaurants and after trying about 5 here locally I was super disappointed and almost gave up until today, when I placed a to-go order from Family Vansa Ghar. Everything we ordered (which was a lot) was great! Their butter chicken was tender in the sauce which is hard to achieve. Gobi Manchurian had the perfect amount of spice, and flavor. Mango Lassi and Masala Chai were sweet but delicious. Other dishes we tried Chicken Tandori, Paneer Sag, Chicken Vindaloo, Vegetable Samosa, etc. were all freshly cooked and wonderful tasting. The only drawback I have is the location is a bit dicey but you can get your food delivered if this...
