A bit of a hidden gem, this coffee shop is solid with much to offer. WiFi, win, coffee, win, food OMG win! You can actually taste the coffee notes in the light roast, obviously go no sugar or add ins. Plus they allow a refill!! Who does that! The Wi-Fi is a solid connection and I enjoy working here. Now the food, I could stay all day for breakfast and lunch. Scratch made, healthy choices, not a greasy plate in the house and affordable, considering the hardships be restaurants. The staff is sweet and always kind following the lead from the owner. Back to the food.. It's so yummy I can't ever choose, but the potatoes and Dijon sauce is a must with whatever you land on! I cannot recommend Porchlight enough! I have become a frequent flyer— no seriously— twice a dad visits. I love the convenience of their online ordering in the morning and their great cafe space for lunch. There is no wrong answer when it comes to their variety of flavors for your lattes. Truly a skillfully crafted coffee menu along with flavor-packed food options. My absolute favorite menu item is their harvest Cobb salad. I CAN’T GET ENOUGH! Hands down the niftiest coffee shop I’ve encountered during my time in Akron. I was in bad shape upon arrival on my first visit - someone had just stolen my wallet, my phone was dead, I was lost, etc. etc. etc. This place seemed like a nice reprieve from an otherwise dismal neighborhood. The barista let me charge my phone, and offered me a few cups of the best coffee I’ve had since being here on the house. Not to mention the suave, upscale, Yale University college town-esque vibe they’ve mastered beautifully. I love it here and now write this upon my return for another smooooth cup of coffee....
