ALDI — Local services in Akron

So im broke and I shop here for the good deals. It's usually an awesome experience. But The lady that checked me out, Damonique N, seemed to be in a hUGE rush and totally RUINED my grocery shopping. I asked her for 3 bags and she told me to put my card in. She was still ringing up my stuff so I was a little confused and asked if I heard her right. So I put my card in and she swiftly scanned all my stuff and then handed me a receipt for my groceries. I was like what?? I was planning on going to buy toilet paper afterwards and needed money leftover. So i was watching the total rise and was trying to ask her if I could take a pizza off, and she just handed me the receipt. I said hold on, usually they wait until they're done ringing up your stuff to have you pay, I thought I was paying for the bags?? She just says she needs me to put my card back in to pay for the bags now. But the groceries I didn't realize I was paying for yet completely wiped out my account so I couldn't afford bags or freaking toilet paper. I told her I couldn't afford the bags now and she called her manager over to cancel my bags and then started scanning the next person. Im Not exactly rich so yeah I need a freaking minute to consider the price before I pay. But she gave me absolutely no chance. Would rather drive across the city to buy groceries than come here and be RUSHED out the...

I am usually very fond of going to this store for groceries as of late, the prices are great for healthy foods which are so hard to find and the store is clean. I have only had a couple bad experiences with some of the vegetables I have gotten from there however that's why they at least get two stars. Now for the -3. I went there today and there were ZERO carts available. I have CRPS 2, a condition that causes chronic severe pain, but thought OK not too big of a deal, I went there for a handful of things anyway so I can try to muscle through it and thought that I would at least get a cart at check out. Uh.. well.. At check out the cashier took my re-usable bags from the top part of the cart and tossed them down into where my groceries were and just started ringing out the next person, adding their items into the SAME cart, and left me to try and pack my bags in a hurry/panic to try to get out of the way. Yes literally tossed them, did not explain that there were no carts anywhere, or even give me 1 tiny minute to at least get a couple of my items in a bag first. Decent prices on some things will not keep me going back, its the customer service in the end that makes or breaks a...

I love this store at the same time I hate it . They're constantly bringing in new things to try and to be honest I've never weighed this much in my life , lol I'm totally serious . In the meat section they have this shaved steak ( RibEye I think) that I make steak sandwiches with. Sorry Steak Ums, your out ! The Fresh Salsa's are so good and a real nice variety of Breads and Pastries to choose from . The biggest draw back is the last Isle. IDKY but someone decided that it was a good idea to put the big displays of non food summertime items in the same Isle as the frozen foods where you gotta open the doors to get your item out . Shuts down the whole Isle and when you get up there you feel rushed and people are getting aggravated. I don't know what the answer is but I do know what it's not ! But while we're in this last Isle , Ice Cream Products are amazing , they got these Raspberry Chocolate type things that you pay the same price for 3 of these as you would 12 regular ice cream bars but trust me you won't even think about all that, these are worth every penny . All the employees are super friendly and will help you however they can....
