This is not Starbucks' fault. This location is licensed to and operated by AVI Foodsystems, and based on experience they value crunching numbers over providing customer service. The Akron location of AVI has never operated a Starbucks before, and is utterly unprepared and clueless as to what Starbucks clientele expect.
This place is new, and it looks like most of the staff are new Starbucks employees.
My orders have been correct each time, although it sometimes has taken some waiting, but as long as the end product is what I ordered, I'd rather they do it slow and get it correct than try to be speedy and have more errors.
EDITED: edited because licensed Starbucks are an awful concept. They don't redeem rewards, they're operated by AVI, and AVI didn't hire anyone who seeks to have worked at a Starbucks before, so everyone is learning, and those who can't keep up are just calling off. Editing review a few years later: Changing from 1 star to 3 stars. Wait times are still frustrating. Especially during rush hours. However, most of the drinks I've ordered have been made pretty well. Occassionally will get one that's not perfect but they're improving. Still will make the drive to Brimfield if time allows.
The orders are never right and even if they are they still somehow taste awful. I timed them the last time I went through the drive thru...24 minutes! There were 2 cars in front of me! The location is great and is super close to my house but I'll take the drive to Arlington from now on to ensure I get good coffee and in a respectable...
