To celebrate the completion of a difficult project, I wanted to offer at least a small appreciation token to some of my team who were instrumental in helping complete the main objectives. I asked them to pick a time and place and we could all grab breakfast together to just get away from the office and decompress for a couple of hours. The team chose Wally Waffle unequivocally. I was excited to try it again as the last time I ate at a Wally Waffle, they had a location on locust Street in Akron. We had a large group (7) but they were able to accommodate us with no issues and got us seated right away. The staff was extremely helpful and absolutely on top of things. Beverages never got anywhere near empty and they stopped by frequently to check on the table. Food wise, our group had some great discussions over all the choices and a few of us really had to agonize over which option to finally choose. A few folks got some versions of an omelette (4 eggs, which made these things huge!) others got various versions of a waffle and combination sides. I chose to try the "What in the waffle?" Which was a Belgian waffle with bacon inside, topped with sausage gravy and two sunny side up eggs. I also grabbed a side of Wally fries (hash browns.) I was very happy with my choice. The waffle itself was very flavorful and combined with the egg and sausage gravy, I was quite pleased. The hash browns were quite good as well but I regretted getting them as I was already quite full by the time I had gotten to them. Overall, the team enjoyed the experience, food was fantastic, and service was amazing. It's a place I would visit again for sure. Parking was easy as there was plenty behind the restaurant which is a plus in the Akron area sometimes.

When you go to a place with the name "Wally Waffle" you'd expect a giant Animatronic Waffle to pun-filled songs about Waffles to the tune of Dolly Parton's Coat of many colors called Waffles of many colors while you eat overhyped, overpriced breakfast food as kids are screaming all around you. Walking into the actual Wally Waffle, you will find no garish waffle automaton but wood-paneled walls and a medium-sized dining area with windows letting in an abundance of natural light. The staff is friendly and attentive; there was not a point in my meal where I had the thought, "Where is my waitress/Waiter." As far as food goes, it was the best breakfast food I've ever had. The menu isn't overbearing, but there is an option for even the pickiest of eaters. The chicken and waffles as the best combination and you have the choice between tenders and wings I opted in for tenders, and they stayed hot for my entire meal. The waffle was so textured and light paired with the butter it was decadent, and I couldn't wait to cut another bit. The hash browns or what they call "Wally Fries" were season entirely and to potato perfection. I only wish they had local jams and syrup with more of a variety is sweet sauces. Also, the butter they use would be lovely whipped. PLUS seasonal fruity lemonades or iced teas would pair well with their menu. In my opinion, Wally Waffle is diner food done right.

Wally Waffle is the favorite breakfast spot in the Akron area for my wife and me. The food is always served hot, plentiful and in generous portions. Service is always excellent and cheerful, which adds to a great dining experience. My favorite is the Waffle Sandwich, a large waffle with an omelette made with cheese and bacon or sausage, and a serving of ‘Wally Fries’ (thinly shredded golden hash brown potatoes). My wife loves their waffle served with honey butter and a side of sausage. The syrup for their waffles comes to the table warm, so it pours easily and it’s SO tasty! Coffee here is smooth, not bitter, and always plentiful. When we make a decision to have breakfast here, it always feels like a treat and we have yet to be disappointed!

Service = SLOW & NOT GOOD, I don't know what the servers name is because she never told us. Value = OVERPRICED, $9 for a oatbrand waffle thats like carrot cake.😤 Taste = BELOW EXPECTATIONS, The place is overrated😞🙃😞 Don't pay the extra $1.25 to load your waffle fries, beccause that is a joke😡 or pun... play on words LOAD OF 🐃!!! Slice of cheese & 2 pieces of onion and green pepper.😠😠😠 I WILL NOT BE BACK HERE FOR ANY BREAKFAST FOODS, the silver dollar pancakes are HORRIBLE plus the syrup is low quality for a small speciality type restaurant. I may try the burger one day. The restaurant need to serve filtered water. I really considered giving a 1⭐

We had a wonderful experience our first time here! We had a 20 min wait for our table. Mind you it was a Saturday morning so they were very busy but they took our name and phone number and they text you when your table is ready so you can sit on the little bench inside if there's room or you can go wait outside til they text you. It was worth the wait! I had the chicken tenders and waffle it was the bomb! So fresh! We will be back! Ps. Parking is not the greatest. We parked on the street out front and paid the meter. But there are not many spots. You may have to park and walk a little. Not sure if there is other parking?
