Very disappointing!!! We've been in Florence 6 months and realised the quality of food here is generally very low at the majority of places we have tried, sadly this place is no different. We were looking forward to eating here and bad high hopes after people recommended it to us but we regret coming here at all.... I'm amazed by the reviews on here as our experience was far from good! On her way home my wife called in for lunch getting 2 'large' cheeseburgers a portion of onion rings and chilli cheese fries which all cost over $15. The burgers were quite small and didn't taste fresh or have a lot of flavour at all. The chilli cheese fries were some of the worst I've ever had, very little cheese and it seemed to be crumbled burger meat instead of actual chilli. The fries themselves were pretty decent. I love onion rings but these were not good, primarily thick solid batter completely drowning any onion inside with a taste wholey of old reheated batter I like to support local businesses and always encourage people to use independent places over the usual chains but on this occasion I wish we had gone elsewhere. We moved to this area from a different part of Florence a year and a half ago and I kept passing by this place with intentions to stop and try it, I finally did about 9 months ago and ever since o go back 1-2 times a week. They have great burgers, fries, tots and shakes. They have a vast menu but that’s all I have tried because it is so good I I get a craving for their burgers often. While many places have good food they don’t all have good people and that’s what makes this place great for me, they make you feel like you’ve been good friends all your life and it’s just a pleasure to go there for the food and atmosphere. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday but open til I believe 7pm on the other 5 days. So give them a try and skip the rigged macs and sloppers and get some good food that won’t leave you feeling blah...

Chat N Chew is a family owned diner that's been a staple in the Underwood/Petersville community for decades. The food is delicious and made fresh. I love the cheeseburger and spicy fries, but there's so much more to be found on the menu including ice cream and a long list of milkshake flavors. The food is affordable, and you're guaranteed to be met with a great big smile. The owner goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. You can order takeout or dine in.
