Iron Skillet — Restaurant in Alabama

My husband has been a trucker for over 10 years. He always bragged about how great the Iron Skillet was. He finally had an opportunity to take me to one, boy was that a mistake.

Nothing was to temperature. We ordered the buffet which had very little on it and everything was old. The meatloaf still was pink. Half the food was stale. The rice was crunchy. The chicken was soggy. The salad selection was ok at least.

The Pepsi we ordered was flat and when it came for a refill we had to wait for the waitress, as we could not find her. When she refilled our cups she brought out a mystery glass and filled both our cups from it. I refused to drink it.

When we voiced our concerns we were told it was ok for 9.99 right? What? That is not how you answer customers. When we tried to ask the woman at the salad bar if they had tarter sauce she was very rude and told us to go ask our waitress after getting annoyed with us.

We will never eat at an Iron skillet again. I'm still hungry and for almost 30 bucks I am very dissappointed.

We wont so much as get gas at a place with an iron skillet which takes advantage of tired and hungry drivers, charges a fortune and feeds them slop pigs would not even eat. Nothing short of a full refund and apology will ever...

They really need some waitress in there that know what they're doing, I come from a family of waitresses and expect same service I'd give them when I go to a restaurant.That wasn't the case here, I was ask what I was having&drinking after standing by both I'd chose to sit at as I waited for a waitress to clean it off.Well she got her money and the few dishes and went on her way so I took it upon myself to ask for dishrag&was handed one with no questions asked,I cleaned table and seats& returned rag. I then went to make my salad and returned to table still no drink or silverware,napkins nothing.I finally got up found lady who ask me what I was drinking and ask for drink,silverware, straw&extra napkins.Well I got the napkin around the silver ware and 2more,Really?Extra napkins to me,I give at least 5per person&5extra if there is small kids or babies.Customer is ALWAYS RIGHT.So if they want napkins give them napkins, I'm sure the restaurant don't want to lose customers over napkins and bad waitresses.I never had my glass refilled,waitress didn't check on me not one time, I had to chase her down to get my ticket so I could leave. Food was fine but both waitresses sucked bad.I'd be glad to help y'all out I need...

The waitress brought a menu and took my drink order then returned within a minute with my drink and asked if I was ready to order.. I said give me a minute to look at the menu.. meanwhile 2 other people came and she waited on them including taking their orders before she came back to take mine.. so I had to wait even longer before my food was ready.. I ordered the hamburger steak with brown gravy and the patty was way overdone.. also ordered the cheese potatoes and they came with the white breakfast gravy on them under the cheese.. which didn't go well with the brown gravy but I didn't know because it doesn't tell you that on the menu.. anyway mediocre meal at best and it's not inexpensive.. I tried the breakfast here this morning and it took 15 minutes before I was waited on and the sausage is not regular breakfast sausage.. it's turkey or Soy or something and it was over overcooked.. then I waited another 15 minutes for my bill after I finished.. the biggest problem is only one waitress.. don't eat here unless you have at least an hour and a half.. plan on spending over $20 for your...
