LawLers Barbecue — Restaurant in Alabama

I’ve eaten barbecue all across the country from Memphis to Kansas City to Texas & the Carolinas. This was easily the most disgusting gruel I’ve ever had slopped on a plate in front of me. It was dry, bland, and completely devoid of any seasoning. I don’t know if everyone who has given it a positive review has recently suffered a stroke, but I don’t understand how anyone could say anything positive about this place. The braindead, junkie cashier with gaged earrings, barely knew where he was. You could tell the food had been cooked hours before not only that, but it tasted like it was prepared at a nursing home. I spent over $40 for two people. The decor was drab and depressing and made me think I was in a mental hospital. 0 stars …. Terrible experience, and to top it off……...

Gotta try the stuffie taters! They are massive and yummy! They are also in the list of 100 things to eat in Alabama before you die. We were traveling thru headed back home and saw this place. They make their own sauces and sell them, we bought 2. Their sweet red is to die for and their old southern recipe white sauce is very good too! They are cheap in terms of BBQ and the environment is very pleasant. It's a fast food restaurant, but the quality and atmosphere is nothing like fast food. Lawler's BBQ to me is one of the top three barbecue restaurants in the Shoals area. There have fair prices for what they serve and the quality is second to none. I love the taste of the barbecue pork and the barbecued potatoes are also not to be missed.

Well this location of Lawler's BBQ does a large take-out business through the drive-thru window they do have a dine-in room where you can enjoy the barbecue without having to take it with you.

If you love barbecue then lawlers should at least be a place you choose to dine at least once, but I feel once tried it will be a routine place for those looking for great...
