Pofta Buna serves up sweet and savory crepes in the spot that used to house Happy Tummy in Lowe Mill. They also have other offerings, mainly in the form of specials - different salad, shaorma, etc. We tried out the Transylvania crepe without tomatoes. Bacon, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, and garlic! The crepe was delightfully crispy. You should probably eat it with your hands - splitting it with a fork and knife was a bit of a challenge. Bacon was crispy, cheese was gooey, and garlic was not overpowering. We also had a sweet crepe with Nutella, bananas, and walnuts. I really liked the added crunch of the walnuts. I wish we could have had some fresh whipped cream with it though, that would have made it perfection. A short wait for food seems pretty likely, and some things are perhaps a little pricy...but the ingredients are high quality and the food freshly prepared, and you're also eating at the always trendy Lowe Mill. I want to come back and try some different crepes as well as their...
Read moreUnprofessional ownership toward a group of my friends and myself. I will take my business to other restaurants in the area.
Response to @Kirsten Petersen please do not assume someone else’s experience. I left my review and you can leave yours. Do not refer to me or my fiancé as “these people” because you are just helping our case :) Thank you. Permission was granted to sit in the area from the cashier and proof was shown to the owner. She still came back and asked us to leave. Right after, one of our friends played on the piano nearby and drew a crowd. The owner came by with her phone to record and we told her that we did not want to be recorded. We started singing in harmony as a group and drew more people and she came by again and recorded us anyway.
Ma’am, you know not of what you speak. The food was good, the service was not. Again, thank you for the “these people” reference. I hope you have...
Read moreI only had the Bucharest Shawarma.
It was massive. A large heavy flatbread sandwich filled with chicken, fries, sauces, and a number of other things. You aren't eating this in the car as you drive if you get it to go. I mean I did. But after a few bites I realized that was probably a mistake. It's just so big -- that's not a complaint.
The restaurant itself has a small face, a booth counter with kitchen facing a small waiting area. There's a few tables scattered around. Just what you would expect at a small food shop at Lowe Mill. No complaints. Quick turnaround from order to in hand.
Prices are not expensive nor cheap. But a single wrap is about 12-15$ which may sound high, but trust me it's a lot of food in them.
It was a nice place. I'll return. Good spot for a...
