I will never go back. I went with my husband, sister and 3 y/o daughter. We picked it for convenience because we’re staying in the same resort, and we got there around 530 on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, so it was crowded but we were able to get a table quickly. Unfortunately things went downhill from there. The whole restaurant was smoky from food, as if the kitchen was vented right into the dining room. I ordered the blackened tuna, and specifically asked that it be cooked at least medium; I’m pregnant and can’t eat rare/raw seafood. My sister specifically told our waitress ahead of time she wanted to pay for her entree separately. The kitchen must have been rushing, because when our food came, my husband and daughter’s fries were barely cooked through and cold, my tuna was barely seared and completely raw and cold in the center, it came with rice instead of the mashed potatoes listed on the menu, and my sister’s food didn’t come at all! The waiter who brought our food (not our waitress) seemed confused that he hadn’t brought her food and asked if she had ordered something, then when she assured him she had, he went to “go check.” He didn’t come back (neither did our waitress) and 5-10 min later my sister flagged him down again as he was walking by to ask if her food was coming. He looked confused and asked her again what food she had ordered. Again we saw no one for 5-10 min. Finally our waitress came back by (I had been planning to ask her to have the kitchen more fully cook my tuna but at this point it hardly seemed worth it) and my sister asked about her food a third time. Our waitress finally came back a few minutes later with the missing entree; the sauce looked partially congealed as if it had been sitting on the line in the kitchen the whole time. About 5 min later the waiter came by with the same entree and looked confused that my sister had one; it turned out to belong to a man at the table next to ours (though his date’s entree was missing for another few minutes as well!) At the end of the meal our waitress brought us only one ticket and told my sister she was not charging her for hers; however my sister’s entree was actually in fact on our ticket, but the waitress had cut the entire bill in half. I asked her to give feedback to the cooks that the tuna wasn’t cooked anywhere close to correctly, and we paid & got out of there. I personally have waited tables at a resort area before and I have no doubt that this was their first busy weekend of the season, but wow! It was bad. We will...

Went to get breakfast to go this morning. I was the first one there waiting for them to open the door at 8:00. A lady, then a gentleman, then a lady with her 2 kids were all patiently waiting. Finally a lady opened the door said good morning. We all walked in, in the order we got there. The hostess which I believe was the manager "Jill" on duty asked me how many, I told her I was going to the counter. She turned around and told the cashier we are not doing takeout orders. I walked on by to the cashier as well as the rest of us. I told the cashier I would like to order a, before I could get it out of my mouth she said is this a takeout I said yes she said I can't take your order. She was embarrassed to have to say that to me wasn't her fault. I said a couple of things it wasn't against her. Then the gentleman said to the hostess are you telling us we cannot do a takeout, she says yes that it was just her the server at register and 1 cook. If the inside gets busy they can't handle all the rest of the people. The guy said we are the only ones in here and you will not let us order in less we sit down. She said yes he and I walked out the other lady got muffins and the lady with the kids said they would sit down. I understand they thought they would be shorthanded when the rush got there but we were there and no one else and you wouldn't take our money. Bye Felicia don't need your rudeness while I'm on vacation. Besides that they do have very good breakfast when they will...

I have never taken the time to review a restaurant until now. What a terrible experience we had Sunday 7/21/2019. We had a party of 7 and were excited to try the local fare. Our order took an extremely long time to be prepared and our waitress never checked on us until she started bringing out our orders. She brought out 3 orders first and we waited 15 minutes before she brought out 3 more of our orders. Then we waited 20 minutes before asking someone that looked like they worked there when they planned on bringing out the last order we finally got all of our orders out some 5 minutes later. We waited for all orders to come out so that we could all enjoy dinner together.

When we finally did begin to dine we were thoroughly disappointed in the quality of our food. It all had a terrible fishy taste as if it had been prepared in a single dirty cooking pan. My shrimp were inedible, the worst I have ever had in my entire life.

The only item that was served that was worthy of paying for was the cole slaw.

To top it off they automatically included an 18% gratuity.

I will never go back under any circumstance. I wouldn’t walk across the street to eat a free meal...

This review is specifically for Sassy Chophouse & Cocktails. My boyfriend and I stayed two nights in Fort Morgan while on a road trip from Florida to Louisiana. We ended up at Sassy our first night because it was the closest restaurant to the yurt we were staying at (which I also highly recommend). After eating there, we couldn’t have been happier we ended up here. The service from our waiter, Dylan, was amazing as was the food. I had the tuna steak and my boyfriend had the pork chop and both were cooked to perfection and tasted so yummy. We also split creamed corn and mushrooms and started with coconut shrimp as an app. We loved this place so much we went there the next night, first for drinks from the lovely bartender Leslie and then again for dinner with Dylan as our waiter once again. The manager, Joey, recognized us and appreciated our repeat business so much that he surprised us with the most beautiful charcuterie board. We barely had room for our ribs and Cajun shrimp skillet, but both were amazing and we took them home with us. If we’re ever back in Fort Morgan, we’re definitely stopping by Sassy Chophouse & Cocktails.

Cute little place located inside the ocean-side of a condominium. The food was great (I got the small peel and eat shrimp) and the server was super sweet. I didn’t realize this place was located in a resort type area and inside of a condominium. There is a community/security gate you have to stop and let them know you’re going to the restaurant. They were very hospitable, gave me a parking pass, and directed me where to park—super easy. It’s a tiny venue maybe 8 or 10 tables total (there was a huge party that took up most of the sitting space and tables). It seemed like there was one server and a hostess for the whole venue at lunch hour so I can see where some other reviewers commented on the service. The server was busy with the large party so the hostess actually took care of me. She was great! A lot of people come in from the pool and beach to get drinks so there’s a lot of traffic in this little place. It’s small and busy but I loved it. I think it would be a great place for breakfast on the beach, so I’ll be back next time I’m in the area.

My friend and I decided to give a 5 for the following reasons. 1. Food was hot and fresh. 2. Seated quickly. Food and beverages were served promptly. 3. Our waitress, Raven, was on the move and did great. She recommended the Cajun mustard and it was delicious. (This mustard topped the scale to a solid 5) 4. We sat outside and could see the ocean. Bonus. 5. The sauces were super yummy. Ask for Cajun mustard. It doesn’t taste like mustard. It tastes like a sauce should! :) 6. Coke products. We both love a Coke Zero with a lime in it. 7. The food was good. Note: We felt like the appetizers, while delicious, were overpriced. In the photos you’ll see we chose: Appetizer: coconut chicken. Entrees: Beer cheese bacon burger with twisted tasters. Added cheese and grits and a container of beer cheese sauce Shrimp and Grits with a side of twisted taters and an add on of cheese. We had enough to take back to the condo for supper. Note: the restaurant is is in a condo. You’ll need to go through acerbity to get in if you’re not staying.
