Google wants to know how my visit to Sonic was. So here's my answer: it sucked. I showed up early in the morning to get a breakfast burrito and they were out of eggs. First thing in the morning, you've run out of eggs in Semmes Alabama? There's no way you're doing that much business. No, that's an inventory failure.
But that's not the ENTIRE reason this place gets a 1-star review.
See, I've been to this particular Sonic one other time, just over three years ago. My wife, who was pregnant at the time, was craving a milkshake. And when your pregnant wife says she wants a milkshake, by God you get her a milkshake. I wanted to get her a really good one, and suddenly remembered that there was a Sonic nearby. I hadn't had Sonic since I was a teenager, but fondly remembered the banana chocolate coconut cream pie shakes I would go order after school every day at Sonic in my hometown.
So I drove to Sonic, pressed the button, and placed my order. Then I waited. And waited. And waited. After 30 minutes I pressed the button again. They didn't have any record of my order. Kinda made me mad, but I patiently ordered again. Then I waited. And waited. And waited. And waited some more. Another 45 minutes and I pressed the button AGAIN. I was told that they were "working on it" and my shakes would be out soon.
Another 20 full minutes passed before my shakes arrived. I paid and left, knowing that it's easier to stifle the righteous indignation than to calm down an impatient pregnant woman who has not been given her shake.
Wouldn't you know it, not only did those damn shakes take over an hour and a half to get out to me, they were completely wrong and just plain awful.
I called the manager to complain the next day, hoping I could get a coupon or at least an apology for the inconvenience and astounding incompetence. Nope. All I got was "okay, thanks" before they hung up on me.
I frankly wouldn't be the slightest bit disappointed if a meteor plummeted from the heavens and landed square on this Sonic Drive-In, leaving nothing but a smoking crater where there once was an insult to the concept of fast food.
Take your money anywhere else. You're better off trying to get good service at the dumpster behind...
Read moreSo I've been to this store a few times now and normally it's a great experience until tonight..... I ordered two sonic blast which what I received in my cup was nothing more then ice cream with a few cookie crumbles tossed on top. There was no butterfingers pieces anywhere past what was literally on top... the ice cream wasn't even spun in the cup to try and appear as if it was made correctly.
A little annoyed I went back to the store and asked to speak to the manager 🙄 "Michael" finally came to the window after one of the cashiers that did everything she could to not look in my direction asked him to come speak to me. When I showed this "manager" my cups and advised him I just spent 6 dollars a piece on these two "Sonic Blast" that was nothing more then some soft serve ice cream. His response to me and I quote "We put as much in as we are told to.... what kind where they I'll remake them".... after he said this with great attitude and walked away from me to "remake" the blast. He came back with a clear attitude that I had the audacity to ask for what I paid for.
We all understand everyone is under staffed, under paid, and over worked however I did try to be polite especially after his clear attitude with me about asking again for what I paid for. I actually would have been ok with just being offered a few more cookies to go in the soft serve ice cream I was given so I could make my own sonic blast manually.
I will give him props that the one he prepared even with hatred in his mind is better 😌. At least this one had some kinda cookie pieces throughout the soft serve ice cream this go around.
Next time we will just go spend our $25 dollars down the street at DQ and get ice cream...
Read moreBought 2 sonic blast last night around 8pm . One small cookie dough blast and one medium m&m blast . She repeated my order back to me , letting me know she heard me. Got to the window she told me my order I gave her a $20 . She originally was going to short me .76c which wouldn't have been a big deal if she would have just said they didn't have change . I gave her the exact change and she gave me a dollar back ... she hands me my drinks and they were two smalls . I informed her we ordered a medium but come to find out she placed them as two smalls . Wasn't a big deal. When she handed me my blast they didn't not mix the chunks of cookie dough nor the m&m's into our blast ... I let it go because it was starting to get annoying .. I live 3 mins up the road and come to find out , my blast had a big hole on the bottom of it they tryed to hide with a sticker !! That's straight ridiculous. I'm an understanding person but , come on how ridiculous does this place have to get before anyone will do something about these careless employees... teenagers or not something needs to be said and done .. this is the third incidents I've had at this sonic and won't be...
