Asian Buffet — Restaurant in Semmes

Customer service is terrible. Employees were rolling their eyes and being rude with a line full of a customers. Please check your receipt because they will try to scam you. There is a menu that tells you when lunch and dinner is. But the cashier will charge you whatever they feel like charging. I’ve literally seen someone in front of me get the same thing as me and was changed a different price. The prices on the menu never add up to your total. I believe they are automatically taking out a tip and then asking for more money. Also, expecting a tip for a Togo order is insane. I am serving myself and the cashier still expects me to tip them for doing nothing but ringing me up. I guess I should start tipping the cashiers at the grocery store too, huh? They don’t even greet you when you come in and they don’t thank you for paying. They don’t care about the customers at all and it shows. They’re not going to be happy until they are bankrupt. It’s a reason why we barely have any Asian/chinese restaurants or buffets. You can’t treat people like trash and expect them to keep coming back. This is my last visit to this restaurant. (mind you I’ve only been here 3 times). I’ll wait for a new owner and new restaurant to come here before I eat at this location again. I was overcharge for my lunch. The sign says lunch is until 3:29pm and I came at 2:46pm and they still charge me for dinner. And had the audacity to expect a tip when you overcharged me on purpose. But that’s okay I let it slide. I’m going to let God handle you. What goes around comes around. Y’all keep playing with people money if you want to.. especially around the holidays… you’re going to learn sooner or later. I hope it was worth it when Karma comes to visit. Also, wanted to add stop being rude to people who don’t tip. You don’t know what they’re going through. If a person is homeless and all they have is a lil money to go to a buffet, they might can’t afford a tip. Obviously, if a person is homeless, they don’t have a fridge, so they have to buy hot food. Buffets are were they can get the most food. Furthermore, you definitely shouldn’t expect a tip from everyone when YOU KNOW for a fact that you didn’t go...

The food was really good. However the service was terrible. My husband, my 2 children and I went to eat there last night and were there for a little over an hour. The entire time we only had one drink, no refills. The server practically ignored all of his tables and several had left upset over the service they didn't receive. The only thing our server did was take the empty plates away, he saw the empty drinks and never bothered to come back to refill them. I'm on a medication where I have to stay hydrated or I get extremely sick so by the time we left there I was pouring sweat, extremely dizzy/nauseated and I almost passed out. We tried to ask for more drinks but never managed to gain the servers attention. Thankfully as we were paying the sweet lady at the front noticed how bad off I looked and cared enough to take care of me. She asked if I was okay and even brought me a large cold drink to help. She apologized over how her server treated us and even assured us that the guy was being replaced because it wasn't the first time he didn't do his job. He was more focused on cleaning the floors (which weren't in any way dirty) and stocking the food than he was with serving his tables. All of his tables made a complaint to the lady at the front about him and all of them had left angry with a not so good experience. Updating my review. Since my first review we have tried the restaurant again. Since then the restroom has been fully stocked and clean. 98% of the food is hot and fresh 98% of the time. The staff are attentive and considerate. Worth the drive if you don't live in town. The food is good. I give them a 4 on the food. Love the variety. MUCH better than See Wee Roll. See Wee Roll is blech.

The food was decent. The food choices were what you would see at most Southern Asian buffets: coconut shrimp, frog's legs, general tsao's chicken, imitation cheesy crab mix, asian coffee cake, chicken on a stick, crawfish (head and tail on), fried rice, noodles, sushi, assorted soups and more. The fried dumplings were greasy, the fried rice was bland and the fried fish had no flavor. The salt and pepper shrimp were mushy on the outside and the shrimp was tough on the inside. The bathroom was not clean. There was no toilet paper in either stall, there was toilet paper and water on the floor, one of the stalls had an out of order sign. A child came out of that stall and said don't go in there its stopped up. She left feces in the toilet. She did not know how to read. She asked me what the sign said. SMH.
