La Val's Pizza — Restaurant in Alameda

So o came to the area for work and was looking for a delivery option. Decided to try this place because of the reviews. My first impression was the individual who took my order was Higher than a kite kept zoning out on the Phone. Once that ordeal to order was completed I was told it would be “uhh it gonna like be an hour or maybe like an Hour and a half” the. Proceeds to hand up randomly… so I patiently wait order comes at around the hour and a Half mark completely cold. Look I understand you’re busy but don’t make a bunch of orders that are just gonna sit and get cold make them before they go out so they are as fresh as possible. Also when I got my order one of the items had gone sour it was a three bean Salad that the container it was in was Puffed up on the verge of exploding and when we opened it It had a Foul smell. I also ordered potato salad and instead of that I got a Big container of Ranch… well I guess they are the same color so and if your as Ripped as the order taker was it might be easy to mistake ranch for Potato salad…… SMH. The pizza Was decent but as stated earlier VERY COLD the pasta was Decent again COLD. I’d say the Best items were the 2 liters and Yes they were cold lol. The Delivery Driver was Amazing They looked very tired So must have been a busy night. But again Priorities. The meal with tip ended up being $100.00 and Honestly was not worth it. I will Give this restaurant another chance to redeem themselves on another visit But this time was not impressive at all. I’d say You might need to Reign in the At work Safety meetings if you...

I ordered through GrubHub and I live within 1.5 miles away on Bay Farm. I called La Val’s 40 minutes later and they told me the order went out. I called 1 hour 15 minutes later and they said they could not find my order. Then I told them it was through GrubHub and the person who answered said they never processed the order. I called GrubHub customer service and they got a hold of Anthony the manager of La Val’s who said he could only give me a $5 coupon It almost 2 hours later and I am still waiting for my pizza. EXTREMELY bad delivery service. Stick with Dominos or Round Table and avoid ordering from this place. I assumed this would be a quick order since I live on Bay Farm but this was a debacle. I am a loyal customer for eat-in for the last 20 years but no more. And the only resolution they could offer was a $5 coupon for next order was ridiculous. I complained to GrubHub and the manager finally agreed to give me a $25 credit for the next order. La Val’s = terrible delivery service. Get your app order...

This restaurant came recommended by more then one local and it was welcomed because the pizza is good. Had a large BBQ Chicken pizza. You could do beef instead. The ingredients, as seen in the picture, fulfills the topping to crust ratio to its absolute fullest. Sure sign this restaurant ain't afraid to let you get the flavor with every bite. You'll be picking the toppings of the plate as the fall off while eating. Unlike the chain pizzas you get where the toppings remind you of flying over the Texas oil fields...you see the wells well spaced apart. Not on this pizza. The beer we had is the Great White IPA; a white lager. I recommend it also. Well I look forward to my next trip here so I can try the rest of the menu.
