My wife and I wanted to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and decided that Don Jose's was a good choice. Truthfully, we had not been there in a while. We made it a late lunch, mid-afternoon, to try and avoid the larger crowds. Between the indoor dining and the outdoor patio wewere promptly seated. We were offered the customary chips and salsa. We requested 2 Cadillac margaritas and fried avocados with shrimp as an appetizer. The bartender at the time was a friendly young lady named Jackie; she brought us our drinks almost immediately. Not long after that our food order was taken and, again, not long after that our appetizer appeared. The avocado had been cut in half and battered and deep-fried. Some sort of Chipotle sauce and salad greens filled the seed void All topped off with a pleasantly seasoned shrimp. They were crispy on the outside and wonderfully creamy and rich on the inside - almost a meal in itself. Just as we finished those our food arrived. I ordered the seafood chimichanga and my wife the enchilada trio. The chimi was delicious, but huge. I only ate about a third and was full. My wife ate about the same amount of hers. Overall a wonderful meal. For dessert we opted for something less filling: two more margaritas. By the way, Jackie makes the best Cadillacs we've had in quite a while. This experience was awesome and we highly recommend Don Jose's for lunch or dinner (or even just...

We had an incredible meal at Don Jose and can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch.
I ordered the chile verde burrito, and it was packed with tender, flavorful pork smothered in the most delicious green sauce. Every bite was perfection! My wife had the Don Jose tacos, and she couldn’t stop raving about how fresh and well-seasoned they were. Our daughter loved her cheese quesadilla, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and ooey-gooey on the inside—exactly what a quesadilla should be!
To top it all off, my bride and I enjoyed a couple of micheladas, which were expertly made—refreshing, perfectly spiced, and just the right amount of kick to complement our meal.
A huge shoutout to Diomary, our amazing waitress, who was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. She was so sweet to our 1-year-old daughter, who absolutely adored her! Great service always makes a meal even better, and Diomary truly went above and beyond.
Everything about our experience was fantastic, from the food to the drinks to the service. We’ll definitely be...
Read moreThis place is awful! My boyfriend and I decided to try their Sunday buffet they advertise for 13.99. I would not even go there again if it was free. First of all, we arrived just at two o'clock and they tried to tell us the buffet was over. It is clearly stated on their banner that is lasts until three o'clock. Once they seated us, we went up to the buffet and grabbed plates. Much to our dismay, the buffet was nearly empty. Burnt scraps! We plated up what we could, unable to even identify the items. (We eat at mexican restaurants frequently, this shouldn't be this hard.) The food was gross and greasy. It took ages to get tortillas for the fajita-fixings and when they arrived, they were cold. We waited and waited for our water glasses to be refilled. The waitress had the audacity to chat with friends instead of bringing us either of these items - we were the only ones dining at this point! It wasn't complicated! Once I had tossed my fork and napkin into my plate and put my jacket back on, she stopped by to say "Oh, you're done? We were bringing more food out for you. Oh well, the buffet is every Sunday, please come back."
Yeah, right. I was sick by...
