Straight Out of Philly — Restaurant in Alaska

What can I say..... Their Phillys are as close as you can get in Alaska as far as I know, as I of yet have found better here. Their Burgers are not bad either. However their Gyros fail to come close and are pothetically small, as well they put the tale tale Gryo sauce in it for you instead of putting on the side for you to gauge for your own taste buds preference on amount. Not thier fault as its just not their specialty like Phillys are. If you want a superb Gryo I strongly suggest Sparta Pizzaria as their Gyros are not only big but are extremely generous with thick slices of lamb. And they put that sauce in a large pc cup on the side so you can go heavy, med., or light dependung on your preferences. And further more is in within a dollar differenece of Straight out of Phillys price. Which both come with generous amount of fries. Straight out of Phillys fries are better but we are not ordering just fries when it comes to getting our Gryo craving satisfied. Now those are the three things I have tried... Phillys, burgers, gryos, and so as far as my experience two out of three food items is a good ratio. Plus if it isnt prime time they are quick as lightning getting your order out and delivered. I ordered a mushroom burger, a cheesy burger. A hot philly, and a dinner salad and a cheese cake. Totally with delivery charge 42$ . Ordered at 8pm. Was told it would be delivered with in the hour. At 9:30 pm I called to check the status of my order she said it was just getting off the grill and will be to me shortly. I received my food at 9:50 pm. The driver didn't speak very good English. When he told me I good was here for delivery I said I will be out in a second. The driver said do u want your food or not? I repeated to him I will be out in a second. I signed for my food and left no tip. The driver before handing me my food looked at the receipt and said really? No tip? I said no tip may I have my good.

The food was cold. The fries were very hard. And both burgers were really dry. The 4 $ dollar cheese cake was very small. I believe in first impressions are important. I will not order...

The staff were so friendly and helpful, I feel bad about having to rate them so low, but I am VERY disappointed in their cheesesteak!!!!!!! I am from Philly, born and raised. I ordered the original Philly cheesesteak. There are 4 components to a cheesesteak that are equally important: perfectly cooked shaved beef, onions grilled until tender, just enough white American cheese to act as glue to hold the onions and beef together, and the flavorful Italian roll. They totally missed it. There was so much cheese in my sandwich that I could hardly taste anything else.
