From the moment I approached the ice cream shop, with its charming and rustic wooden facade adorned by a whimsical ice cream cone sign, I could tell I was in for a delightful small-town experience. The signage, bold and nostalgic, invited me into a space that felt both familiar and inviting.Stepping inside, the atmosphere radiated a cozy hometown vibe, with a clean and bright interior that felt like stepping into a friend's welcoming kitchen. The menu, displayed above the service area, offered a delightful array of treats that went beyond the classic ice cream options, including a variety of coffee and tea beverages — a testament to their versatility and understanding of customers' diverse palates. The ice cream itself was a revelation. Each scoop I tasted seemed to burst with the rich, pure flavors of ingredients that could only have been freshly prepared. The texture was perfect — creamy, smooth, and melting just right, a clear indication of their commitment to serving high-quality, artisanal products. What truly set this shop apart was the service. The staff were not only prompt, ensuring that my order was prepared quickly, but they also exuded a warmth and friendliness that made the experience even more enjoyable. They were knowledgeable, eager to offer recommendations, and patient as I made my selections, reflecting the kind of exceptional customer service that makes a place memorable. In every aspect, this ice cream shop captured the essence of a beloved local gem. It's the sort of place you stumble upon and can't help but return to, time and time again, for that unparalleled combination of delectable treats and heartwarming service.

My family and I stopped by Girdwood to enjoy the adjacent Coast Pizza and I dropped into this ice cream shop to see if any of their flavors caught my eye.. One stood out, Espresso Explosion, featuring espresso ice cream and espresso bean chocolate flakes.. I ordered a child's sized scoop and it was the perfect portion for the occasion.. This ice cream had a nice balance of espresso flavor and cream as one might expect from a specialty ice cream.. It was just the right amount of sweet without being too rich or overbearing.. The staff was friendly, the store was clean, and I would score this visit as a win!! I would definitely return if ever passing through the Girdwood area in the future..

Very huge collection of ice cream flavors (over 30), including many Alaskan specific ones such as Fireweed, Alaskan wild berries and others. They also have coffee. The texture and flavors are quite good and they let you sample their flavors. Fireweed is a must try if you are visiting Alaska and I would recommend stopping by this shop if you are in girdwood. The staff are especially nice and helpful.

This is a must, and we always stop here whenever we travel south past girdwood. Usually, on the way back into town. We really like the flavors they offer, and the fireweed ice cream is one you should try at least once. I tried the banana pie in a waffle cone, and the flavors went well together! I sadly didn't take any pictures because i was too excited to eat the ice cream... I forgot to take at least one picture.

The shop isn't that big though, so if it's crowded, there's not a lot of room. They do have to tell some people to wait outside if it gets too crowded, and i can understand why. They used to have seating on the inside, but as it is a very popular store, they had to move some of their seating outside. I don't find anything wrong with that, though, because i am just happy to have some...

Stopped by for an evening dessert after dinner. There were about 5 people in line, but it was moving quickly. There were a couple of employees who were efficiently serving everyone in line.

There were probably 30-35 flavors on the menu with some being locally made, Vegan, and no sugar added. With the ice cream, you can have it in a cone, cup, milkshake, malt, smoothie, or a sundae. You're able to pick a flavor for each scoop. Ordered a double scoop and they were nice enough to ask which scoop I wanted on the bottom. Ice cream was very good as it was soft, smooth, and creamy. There's limited seating inside, so most sat outside on the brick planters. Good ice cream served by friendly and...
