San Joes To Go Mexican — Restaurant in Albany

Normally I would give this place 5 stars but tonight I have to say I am so disappointed. My son ordered a quesadilla which almost came out right except out wasn't a quesadilla but we didn't make a fuss then I ordered a vegetarian Williams Special. It had chicken in it. I pointed it out to them. They weren't exactly rude but they said it was common for a few pieces of meat to get mixed in. Hmmm, lets see, lets say I'm allergic to shrimp and the person ahead of me ordered something with shrimp. I hope y'all know where I'm going with this. They really made me feel as though I should have just dealt with it, it was such an imposition for them. Very surprised as they are usually very friendly and outgoing. Even my food still didn't come out correct the 2nd time. Tons of onions no mushrooms very little of the veggies that are supposed to be in it BUT to be fair there wasn't any chicken in it this time. I won't go back not for a long if at all. The food wasn't terrible but even if it was the best food in Albany bad service will ruin it and people will eventually quit spending their money at that...

Me and my girlfriend wanted to have a date night at the house so I ordered a togo meal on Fri OCT, 19, 2024. I got 4 birria tacos and 2 chicken birria quesadillas(they messed up my order and gave us shrimp), mexican street corn. This little order totaled up to $55.00 dollars! Friday and I wanted to treat my gf so I went forward expecting a large wholesome meal considering the price. The whole meal was very disappointing considering the price, we went to bed starving after our date. 55.00 dollars would’ve did way more literally anywhere else. Chick-fil-A , Sonny’s BBQ, Chinese buffet. No exaggeration the birria tacos were as small as taco bell dollar value tacos. The quesadillas might as well came from the fast food place COOKOUT on N slappey the way they prepared it. The whole meal looked small and tired. If I can give 0 I absolutely would. I see other people complain about the same issue. They are overcharging and robbing folks in Albany, ga from the price to giving kiddie portions! If they had an option for NO STARS I would have selected that! The co owner made the food I ordered the way she wanted to and told me to check it when i pointed out what was wrong she told me that they put cheese on everything and I didnt ask for cheese. After waiting for up there for 35 mins, i asked for my money back and she took the food, told me that I she wasnt giving me my money back and that she will just throw the food in the trash and kept the food fron me. I then had to call the police, she told the police their return policy is no refunds, but there is no sign posted stating no refunds. The woman was very rude and yelled at me. I advised her i would be filing a complaint and i will make this a civil matter. Now if my husband gets sick from the food, i will be filing a lawsuit for damages.
