Blue Bay — Restaurant in Albemarle

We live about 45 minutes from restaurant we was going to Dine in but we wanted to get family pack with three different meats, why they don’t allow you to eat the family pack in the restaurant is kinda weird. The restaurant would make more money, serving drinks and buying other food items we got the baby flounder popcorn, shrimp, and chicken tenders. They only gave five chicken tenders and a family pack and their menu said that the family pack would feed up to four or more people. They only give you two little tartar, sauces, for 4-6 people big container of hush puppies and and 6 little containers of slaw really not a great value you’re better off going to Mayflower or Captain D’s. You will get more food at those locations and better pricing after getting home 45 minutes later I called back up there cause we only had five chicken tenders. They said only seven comes in the family pack and that they could give me credit for the two chicken tenders $1.79 or I could drive 45 minutes back up there to pick up the two missing chicken tenders Not very good customer service but they was very polite transfer the phone three times to different people like I told the lady on the phone, it was my first time and my last time what they should have done was at least give $10 credit and I would’ve came back up there probably with more family members. we had to pay for their mistake and we did not get the value that we were expecting to get from the family pack. I’ve been a customer of Blue Bay in Albermerle for over 20 years. I have NEVER been treated with disrespect from the manager person ever before, EXCEPT for tonight. My youngest daughter had a man’s facial hair in her food, the manager never came over to apology. She sent another person from the wait staff over. She said the meal would be taken off. She stated this is not the first time hair was found in other customers food, as the manager NEVER enforced hair/face nets in the kitchen. I went to pay, as the meal was still showing on the check…. So, I inquired about as to why it was NEVER taken off. She states, no one takes it off except the manager. To my surprise, I thought the person who came over was the manager. The cashier, chewing something in her mouth like food, says…. I am the manager. As a result, I was told to pay the full amount of $55 for 3 people. She talked with disrespect, treated me as if I wanted something for nothing and was extremely unprofessional, rude and dressed like she wore her clothes for a week already. Food was cold, waiter was inexperienced and charged us for the wrong meal initiated, food came out late and without condiments and no refill on the soda. LETS NOT FORGET ABOUT THE HAIR EITHER!!!! This will be the last time I visit Blue Bay of Albermerle. Wait and kitchen staff is the reflection of manager and owner. No wonder why Blue Bay cannot find staffing in its restaurant. If they treat their staff half as good as their costumers, I would not work...

Horrible experience here and we go here all the time. Our hush puppies tasted weird. Then we ordered cheese sticks while waiting on our food. The cheese sticks looked and tasted like powdered cheese like ricotta and cream cheese mix. Wasn't even stringy at all. We were told it was monzerella and I know it wasn't. Even store bought frozen tastes better.. Sent those back and just told them to forget it. I asked for my chicken to be blackened for my salad and was told they couldn't do that because it was already seasoned. So I was like fine. As I said I ordered the grilled chicken salad. My fiance ordered a large Alaskan white fish salt and pepper plate. Our food comes out and first thing my fiance sees is his fish soaked in grease. He tried to eat it but couldn't. you can see the grease on his plate below like they didn't even drain the fish or something. We were already having a long day so he didn't want to make a big deal. As I'm eating my salad there was no cheese on it. Had to ask for that. And then a ROTTEN tomato in my salad. Seriously. How do you serve your customers rotten food and they had just opened too and were not busy at all. I stopped eating we got up went and paid after making sure to let them know about it.
