Read moreStopping in Albert Lea for a bite to eat, I decided to check out Cento, a newly opened restaurant I hadn’t heard of before.
The wood-fired pizza and desserts were absolutely amazing, but great food alone doesn’t make a restaurant successful—it’s the atmosphere and service that really stand out. Cento is housed in a stunning 100-year-old space transformed into a modern and inviting dining venue. It’s a perfect spot whether you’re grabbing a meal or enjoying a casual date.
The prices were very reasonable, and our server, Sophia, was outstanding—she made sure my Arnold Palmer was never empty! We tried two pizzas and two desserts. Sophia recommended her personal favorite, the peach cobbler, and it did not disappoint—it was a delicious treat.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been somewhere where so much thought was put into every detail of the dining experience. Whether you’re with a group of six, on a date for two, or just sitting at the bar, Cento feels like the kind of place that caters to everyone.
I know I’ll be back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great...

The croutons were homemade and not as crunchy as I prefer them. The dressing was delicious though. We also shared the pepperoni pizza. It was good, not great. It didn't have the woodfire taste to it at all. I also tried their whiskey margarita which was delicious and the best thing I had there that night. Our server was wonderful, friendly, and checked in on us frequently. They gave us water without asking, which is rare now a days, but it was warm. I maybe would go back for the whiskey margarita but that...
