I've been eating here for a long time. And it has continuously gone downhill. And you can tell there's less people in less people Well, I got the 4 tacos. It cost me about twenty bucks and the only thing that was good out of it was the dr pepper I got 2 beef and 2 pork tacos. I could barely eat the beef, aint one of them? I could not even finish the pork taco. So bad everything smelt like soap and I. Drive a truck and it gave me diarrhea within minutes of getting back to the trucks. I barely made it inside. I don't know what it was, but now I'm having to take a modium. AD. To keep out of the bathroom. I'm sorry, but this is the last time I come here. This place has gone so far Downhill in the last 5 years. That it's not even worth coming. Used to have a lot and local people come here. I don't see anybody. It's what amounts to when I went in 5 o'clock and I set there till 6. And guess what? They're could've been a dozen people there when you looked at the buffet like thing they have for their meat. How can you have meat that kind of a bluish purple to to me? That looks like it's bad me and that's why I didn't get her off fair. I got it out of the kitchen. And I thought that would be better but I. I was sadly mistaken Now, as far as waitresses go, they don't come to your table and order. You have to get-up-and-go up to there and tell them what you want? Why they expect a tip? Why and then they give you a number and you go sit down at a table. What? Of course, it's not hard to find a table because there's only 2 or 3 people in the whole place. True, play, you would be much better to shut this. Place down and put something in here like a Denny's. Something that somebody will wait on people and service. Him used to I would come here because I had great stakes. Well, they don't even really have a steak on the menu. I'm sorry but it's no way that a 10 oz. Loring steak is worth $35. Not gonna happen but say the thing is that used to have good size stakes. Decent stakes 20 oz. Well I don't mind spending $50 for a good steak. That's a little bit expensive. But it has to be a good steak. They used to have em...
Read moreStopped by here on a trip from South Dakota to Wisconsin on Sunday, 11/24/2024 as we were staying in the Holiday Inn next door. Had hoped for a nice sports bar atmosphere to have a few beers, watch the Minnesota-Chicago football game, and have something to eat. As Green Bay fans enroute to Wisconsin we had Packer t-shirts on. Upon entering the place and walking up to the bar the first patron we interacted with (the one with the fading homemade neck tattoo who had clearly been at the bar since right after church that morning) greeted us by slurring, “We don’t like losers in here.” Other patrons quickly chimed in with , “Losers, losers.”
It was clear that if you aren’t a local you are not at ALL welcome in this place, unless of course you are a group of truck drivers from the truck stop next door who, perhaps because of hearing loss after too many miles in the big rigs, felt compelled to carry on their conversations at somewhere around the 90-100 decibel level. Even the bartender commented on how incredibly loud they were as they carried on not their conversation but rather, their shouting match for around two hours. The only positive of all of this was that Donna the bartender was kind and friendly.
Having had enough of the shouting truckers and the rude locals we moved to the next room to have dinner at their buffet (still part of Skol). Once again we were met with disturbing, rude, and quite futile attempts at humor with remarks from the buffet attendant such as, “We normally don’t serve losers here.” We ate there nevertheless, as we were tired, hungry, and close to the hotel. Sat in a quiet corner to avoid any further interaction with employees and patrons, only to find my wife sick an hour after having the buffet roast beef.
As I said, we’re from South Dakota. We’re very easy-going, and normally enjoy exploring local taverns and restaurants on our travels, talking with folks, etc., but this was a TERRIBLE experience. Oh, and being from South Dakota our governor is Kristi Noem. Minnesota’s is Tim Walz. I’m open at any time to discuss losers...
Read moreIf I could neg star a place this would be it. Came in through what appeared to be the front but ended up being the back. Walked past the bar into the dining room past multiple people I assumed were waitresses sat down and waited 20 minutes before I heard a cashier tell a elderly couple that they needed place thier order at the desk then seat themselves.
I then went to desk and politely mentioned that I had been sitting 20 minutes and no one had mentioned it was self-service and got a snarky reply about the fact the world had changed and 99 percent of everybody knew it.
Placed my order including a drink , had my appetizer and waited was not brought the drink I paid for but was brought the appetizer then later the food. Was not told the drinks were also self-service.
In order to not be a Karen because I was getting quite pissed I asked for the food to go. My table was cleared before I could even put the food in the box and no offer of utensils or condiments was made.
I walked back to the hotel next door and ended up throwing most the food out because the supposedly fresh burger was cold and extremely dry. The "Ranch" was blue dressing, no sauce or anything on the burger or on the side. Onions were old and tasteless, fries were like stale chips.
This may of been a decent place at one point but now it is another example of how people in the industry are using COVID-19 as a excuse for poor service while still demanding same or higher rates. The fact this is a prepaid establishment should not be a surprise since I doubt few people would tip after this kind of experience.
Avoid like the plague even if you are a driver, Domino's cheaper , better and they deliver to...
