Today was my first visit to the Villager Restaurant, and after reading the great reviews posted for it I was certain I would be having a positive dining experience. The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere and our waitress couldn't have been better. The sunflower toast was very good - as it was well praised in the reviews. The main reason for my visit was to experience their much bragged about Sausage, Biscuits & Gravy Breakfast. I must have gone on the wrong day (being a weekday - vs. a weekend morning when there may have been a better turnover with fresher food). After all, this dish was a favorite and recommended by many of the previous patrons... My plate arrived with GLOBS of room - temperature, separating gravy dumped on biscuits on a plate. Gross!! But I thought maybe it would taste better than it looked..... It didn't. Words cannot express my disappointment. I can't believe I had to pay for that disgusting abortion of a meal. I'm glad I have a dog to take it home to that'll eat anything.... I won't be returning. I can make gross meals at home for...

We absolutely have to do 1-2 breakfasts at the Villager whenever we are in Lewiston. Unfortunately, this was our first visit since Bob and Amy sold to the new owners. The new owner was at the counter looking at her laptop computer. She never said hello or took time to look at the food that her staff was serving. My wife's scrambled eggs were dry and rubbery, my toast was dry and burnt black. There were only two tables of customers in the restaurant, and I did not see any of the morning regulars. The pictures on the wall were missing, the daily special board has been removed, and Fox has been replaced with CBS news. All the chatter and Amy's wonderful laugh was missing, replaced by dead silence. My sincere hope is that Bob can stop by and teach them...

No cards, so have cash or be prepared to hit the ATM inside. Other reviewers loved the biscuits and gravy, I wasn't impressed with that, so take your chances. 5 stars though for the rest of our meals. Sausage and bacon are local and amazing. French toast is made with bread made on site and was fabulous! We bought multiple loaves to bring home, my raisin bread is fabulous. I ordered pecan pancakes the second day we were in town and was debating about 2 or 3, we were hiking all day, so I wanted a big breakfast. The waitress very definitively told me to get two. The two pancakes overflowed my plate and were enough...

Breakfast and a lunch sandwich at the Villager was excellent. I had a western omelette that had generous portions of ham, onions, green peppers, and cheddar cheese. Perfect cooked and served piping hot with hash browns and home baked rye toast. My wife enjoyed a turkey club that included crispy bacon, lettuce, and tomato with hot fries. We were quickly seated and our waitress took our order promptly. The atmosphere inside was very upbeat with lots of smiling faces on associates working here. It shows how much they enjoy working at this fast-paced, busy diner. And everyone worked hard. A great place to enjoy a great meal!

This is the Villager Restaurant in Lewiston. This is drawing was a gift for the owners: Amy Seguin DeVos and Robert DeVos. "Best Food in Town" is a perfect moto for this establishment. Their pancakes are spectacular...and huge, and the omelets delicious. The service is great. Courtney is a sweetheart and always remembers our order. Say hello to Amy for me!

We stopped in on a Monday morning, after spending our weekend in Lewiston. The place was packed! The food was Great, my eggs, Benedict and hashbrowns were spot on, and my husbands pancakes were packed with blueberries! Our waitress was nice, friendly & efficient.. prices were pretty decent! We will definitely be back!
