My husband and I have had very small issues ordering from Ichiban in the past and we typically love our food after everything gets corrected and we make it through the rude employees. I am not sure what has happened recently, but no one ever answers the phones anymore and they turn off online ordering, so the times that we have called in the past two months or tried placing our orders online, different hours might I add, we are never able to place our order. I’ve gone in to pick up food and the servers have horrible attitudes and don’t seem to mind making the customers angry. I wish I had nicer things to say since we’ve never had bad food from here, but the employees make it so unenjoyable that it no longer seems worth the hassle.
Update: Saturday, Jan.27, 2024 - Thought maybe things would improve with them at a new location, but unfortunately no. Literally ordered just thirty minutes ago, the order was gone over with the cashier, we have our order photo from online ordering, and our paper receipt that was placed on the bag, and we paid for products that we did not receive. It’s like I said before, the food is always great, but something is wrong every time we have tried to eat here or get takeout, and it is maddening. It seems like more of a service problem rather than product. Missing three separate paid for items. Something needs to be done considering the service is a constant issue with this company and it truly does not seem like management seems to care. It’s even worse when you walk in and you see and hear employees laughing at customers still in the building. They are not short staffed they are hateful and rude just because.! To the point where we will not go back after years of going! When you order to-go plates and wait the 30 mins like they say, get in the line and wait another 15, then get out and go in (to ask “hey dear my order number is #65” how much longer do you think it will be?”) and they look at you like “how dare you come in” then your told “pull into a parking spot at the side and wait”...ANOTHER 20 mins. INSANE. A $60 order (3 people/plates and sushi no drinks, to go) and when there is 1 yum sauce in there AFTER you have waited all the time dont dare ask for another one...they rip your face off and you are charged for it because “only one per I order and plate” AND ARE MAD THEY HAD TO GO GET! Read moreI ordered the deep fried sesame chicken with fried rice and noodles. The noodles had absolutely no flavor and tasted like cardboard (not an exaggeration). The rice was extremely bland and cold. The worst part was the chicken. My sesame chicken tasted like it was made with ketchup and sugar, not anywhere near close to a tradition sesame chicken flavor. The overall taste of all of that was just awful and I threw my entire plate away after I asked to make sure that they gave me sesame chicken. I ordered the Spider Roll which wasn’t horrible, but no where near like authentic sushi. My best friend got the Singapore chicken with some fried rice and noodles and didn’t like it one bit. He said he was very disappointed because the food used to be good. This place does not deserve 4 stars, I’m sure most of it is from when the food was actually good. We will not be returning. The staff is rude and the chefs can’t even cook their own recipes correctly. We went down the road to get the new wings at jacks and those were a thousand times better than this place.
