CUSTOMER BEWARE. Bojangles is my favorite fast food chain so I've eaten at a lot of locations. However, this Alcoa location is easily the worst Bojangles I have ever visited. Aside from the food we eventually were able to order being cold, we arrived at 8:25pm and upon ordering at the drive thru we were told they were no longer cooking anything. That's an odd thing to say for an establishment in the food business. And warm food made up, well you know, the vast majority of the menu. Asked why and they person said they're closing soon. When asked what time they close, they said 9:00pm. Asked why they can't make any more food when they're still open for 35 more minutes, the response was "sorry we shut it down and we're cleaning it." Right. Makes perfect sense. Since we were hungry ordered a few of the very limited items that could still be purchased, and they were clearly cooked (or taken out of a box and heated up) many hours ago when the staff subjectively decided to stop working for the night. It is too bad the owner of this branch still has to pay all id the staff on this evening seeing how they stopped working well before they clocked out. Save your own time instead of letting them waste yours. Both you AND they will be more happy if you just choose another place to eat....
Read moreSo if you are wanting good food, with all choices on the menu don't go to this location after 7:30pm. They pre make chicken and close down the fryers at a fried food restaurant. I've been there at 8 pm and they tell me they are out out of Breasts and thighs with no plans to make more, was told the fryers are down for the rest of the night. Tonight I went at 9pm tonight and got some old outdated chicken thighs and was told I couldn't get any fries or bo browns cause they already closed and started cleaning the fryers for the night. I'm a cook myself and understand you wanna get out of there and be done for the day but shutting down the fryers at a fried food restaurant before you close is ridiculous and just lazyness. Let's just put that in prospective, Does McDonald's ever run out of fries? Wendys? Burger King?Arby's? Nope. Never happens. Why is it okay for the one restaurant that has virtually no entrees not needing a...
Read moreStopped by Bojangles for a quick takeout run after landing in Knoxville, and it hit the spot. We skipped the biscuits this time and went straight for their fried chicken and a few go-to sides—mac & cheese, seasoned fries, and Cajun pintos. The chicken was hot, crispy, and had that signature Bojangles seasoning that’s hard to beat.
Mac & cheese was creamy and comforting, fries were well seasoned (not too salty), and the pintos had a nice kick without being overpowering. Everything was packed up neatly, and the staff were friendly and efficient—no fuss, just solid service.
Perfect for a grab-and-go meal when you want something satisfying and Southern without the sit-down wait. Would definitely swing by again if we’re...
