Southern Classic Chicken — Restaurant in Alexandria

I did the drive up and order and receive your meal thru the window. Once I put my request in for a three piece all thighs, I then politely requested that that the 3 thighs be the most recent fried or hot out the grease, as I really enjoy hot fried chicken not chicken that you can see that has been fried and setting under light for a while. Once I got to the window and the person handed my chicken order, I checked just to make sure before I drove away from the window and wouldn't you know I had just what I did not want, and saw that my chicken was chicken that had been fried and old, and spotted. I waited until the person who gave me my food come back to the window and I explained my request and this was not it, she first told me to drive to the side, and I had no problem doing that, then before I could pull over, she called another young lady to the window and she told the person whom I assumed was the supervisor and she requested that I stay exactly where I was. She took my box back thru the window and kept it a few minutes and brought it back to the window and handed it to me and expressed her sorrow which was not genuine. I decided to check it again before I left the window, and low and behold the person in charge had given me the same 3 pieces back, and I was so disappointed that I just did not want to hold up the other customers behind me. Needless to say I will not be coming thru that Broadway location soon. It was a simple request but I guess it was to much to ask. I give the time it took to drive thru experience a 5 star but the customer service a 2 star as the cashier was really nice. She is the one who took my card and said she would make sure they got request and I heard her tell them my request before I drove to the next window. I guess the Supervisor showed me that it is not good to make special request, just take what Southern...

I reluctantly offer this review for Southern Classic Chicken in Alexandria. I am disappointed to say that the quality of their food has declined.

SCC once gave Popeyes Chicken a run for its money with their unbeatable taste, high quality, and reliable consistency. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. They are even serving steroid chicken, which is not what chicken wings are supposed to be.

In fact, the chicken wings now look more like turkey wings and the freshness of the fries is lacking. Plus, the salt is also an big issue.

It's perplexing to see restaurant quality decline as time goes by. It would be great if SCC can go back to serving piping hot chicken, fresh sides, and refreshing drinks. This is what made them stand out in the first place, and it would be wonderful if they can return to their...

I went to southern classic fried chicken on 10/19/21 at 6:19 pm order 456 clerk 9075 amount $27.69 , and ordered a 10 piece family meal with sides of red beans and rice and mashed potatoes and gravy. It was the most bland chicken I have ever eaten, and the red beans were burnt. They tasted burnt and the chicken was soooo bland it was nothing like I had , had in the past. I always loved classic chicken but something was wrong, I don’t know if they changed their recipe or what. But it was terrible 😞 and my family ate cereal and ramen noodles that night cause the red beans were burnt.
