Good stuff, however they won't let you take anything off their specialty pizzas, so I was told if you want this Pizza build it without that ingredient.. Of course for $6 more.. Not very friendly to those who can't stand onions.. I'll definitely rethink my stop next time.
Response to Flo's response. If you intend on telling customers they must eat something they don't like it is reminiscent of eating at home as a child and being told you'll eat it and like it. Like I said initially yes you're right you can build the same pizza without the onions for an additional $6 I think.. Thanks for increasing the cost of enjoying your specialty pizza the way I want it by removing an item.
If I can buy that same pizza with a Glutton free crust you sure as heck can remove the onions on a specialty pizza it's the same darn thing. Or do you tell your Glutton free folks... Sorry you have to buy it as it was intended?? Think about it..
I guess at Flo's the Customer is wrong on all accounts unless you agree with Flo's then you're one of the cool kid's who get it..
Whatever. Dine here at your own risk
April 2019
My wife and I decided to give it another shot.
My wife forgot that she couldn't add or subtract an item to the house specialty pizzas and started to order one, I caught her as she was trying to add Black olives to the pizza. The Server said hey don't worry I can take care of that. So, maybe my last review and complaint worked????
Well my wife got her pizza and it was great... the bill came and they charged $11.00 more than the Specialty pizza to add the olives. Needless to say the Server tried to excuse himself and finally the manager took care of it. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to eat here. Because my wife likes the St. Julian store we continue to try it. I would Add Flo's in Greenville and Belmont are great.
Mid May.. One more shot.. Our service was beyond sub par as our Waitress never checked back during the meal and finally showed up 15 minutes after with the bill (After my wife finally got up and went wine shopping next door.)
I officially will say Flo's Wood-fired Pizza needs serious help from the Top down, they cannot seem to get their act together. I understand based on my experiences that the bar is set pretty high, but come on? The last time I saw another table in frustration with their server and the food as well. So I'm not the only one. Their management has never reached out beyond the first review to say, hey we know we blew it, what can we do to make you a...
Read moreService can make or break our experience. Our waitress lacked personality, which could be overlooked if she had been able to answer any of our questions about the menu. She neglected to tell us it was happy hour after hearing my husband go back and forth between a drink that was on the happy hour menu and one that was not. We saw the blurb on the other side after ordering the selection not on the happy hour menu. We asked about the pizza we ordered and were told “potato’s on a pizza are a deal breaker for me so I refuse to try it” no further answers or direction. We had asked if it was spicy hot or if the heat was mild. When we ordered the pizza, we quickly learned it was spicy hot and had too much aioli. The manager came over after we asked where our server was, ordered us a new pizza. It was better but I was expecting amazing after all the great reviews, my husband and I thought it was good but not worth the hype. The manager never returned to see how the new selection was and our waitress didn’t bother to ask. While we were there some younger girls were there talking to one of the pizza chefs leaning over where the food sits and weaving in and out of tables going from somewhere to that counter, it didn’t seem all that cleanly to have them reaching over that counter. All and all the pizza was just ok but the service compelled me to write this review and was less than stellar. Maybe it was an off night but we won’t make the drive again...
Read moreI’m going to start this out by saying I used to love Flo’s. I would send people here and tell them about it ALL the time. After today, not until something changes. Our waitress (Julie D) was inattentive the whole time. We watched as she walked into the kitchen area with a dustpan and started shouting about how it needed to be cleaned this weekend and that it should have been done last week. Then after we ate we waited for a half hour before she even thought about bringing us a bill or a box. This was after we watched her go into the kitchen area again and WITHOUT gloves on, doubt she washed her hands either, show one of the kitchen staff what lettuce was to be used and drop it back where she got it from. The food was excellent, but the service, the lack of professionalism and lack of food safety measure from a waitress was appalling. At any point we could have just left and she wouldn’t have had a clue. She never looked over to us, never checked in on us and as previously stated, waited forever to bring us our check. This was especially frustrating because with three waitresses on duty there was only four tables, we seemed to be her only one in her section. A party of five later joined and was attentively served by separated waitress. In fact, she was able to begin service on them very quickly of which I could witness in the twenty five plus minutes it took for Julie to come out of the waitress booth pow wow that was going on...
