Against The Grain Brewery, Against The Grain Citra Ass Down, ABV: 8.2%, IBU: 68.0
Style: Imperial/Double IPA. This beer is not candy or mother's milk. It is not brewed by gypsies or aliens, nor does it contain any zombie dirt. This is an American Style IPA brewed with Citra Hops. It is citrusy, sticky, hoppy and delicious. Simply drink it and enjoy it. Don't hoard this beer, Citra Ass Down and drink it now. (Online description:) This is a very hop forward American style IPA. Brewed with Pale, Vienna, Munich and wheat malt for a solid base for all American hops, focusing mainly on the variety "Citra." Citra hops are a relatively new variety introduced in 2008. It was bred as a hybrid of a number of different hops, including Hallertauer MittelfrĂĽh, U.S. Tettnanger, East Kent Golding, Bavarian, Brewers Gold, and other unknown hops. The resulting hop, Citra, has a distinct citrusy and tropical fruit flavor and aroma. In Citra ass down we used American Columbus for bittering and 11# of Citra at the end of the boil for late kettle addition flavor and aroma. Then we added 6 more pounds Citra and 5# Centennial post fermention for aroma. Rebrewed for your tasting pleasure!
August Schell Brewing Company Black Cherry Forest
Style: Berliner Weisse
Backpocket Brewing, Backpocket Cane Blade Imperial Ipa, ABV: 8.2%
Style: Imperial/Double IPA
Backpocket Brewing, Backpocket Gold Coin, ABV: 5.2%
Style: Dortmunder/Helles Our Helles is a refreshing lager with a light (helles is German for light) golden color and just a touch of hops for a crisp clean finish. Perfect for any occassion, the Helles is the lightest of our styles. Note: Formerly Einfach Helles.
Bells Brewery, Bells Two Hearted Ale, ABV: 7%
Style: India Pale Ale (IPA) India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma. [Note: this beer doesn't have Bells in front of the name by explicit request from the brewer. Update: Larry has posted in the forums saying Bells should be in front of the name now.]

Had a Valentine’s Day dinner here the day after valentines the steak was delicious food is good. Homemade cookies were delicious place is really noisy so be ready for high decibel noise level.

As good as the food was and service and everything I would say the 9 o’clock shut down time is disappointing since it’s listed on the website as late night dining and we were just having the best conversation and we were told that we needed to leave because they were closing at 9 o’clock

UPDATE: Went this weekend hubby had the BLT salad he enjoyed it, the homemade dressing was delicious. I had a skirt steak, it had a weird odor, wasn’t tender as advertised in the menu, it was juicy, I think seasoning was weird. The salad I had came right out of the bag. The sour cream and ranch come in little plastic tubs w lids, butter comes in the little pkgs. but thankfully the Heinz 57 comes in a bottle. Plastic bagged lettuce and condiments. Our waitress was very nice, but a bit too eager to clear our table every trip over, reaching over my food a drink. Finally a bit of education was well received.

The place closes around 8 PM, 9 PM so don’t be fooled by with the website says . Our waiter was very nice. One of the ladies seem to be in charge, I wouldn’t say unfriendly, but not overly welcoming.

All the bathrooms are down in the basement so if you don’t do steps better, be willing to hold...

Went here with friends while in town since the reviews were so great. Well, not the experience we had. Ordered the Dmitri Chicken no bun. Received a piece of grilled chicken that I used a lot of ketchup on. And fries that were barely cooked! Friends had a fish sandwich that was not cooked thru and the same crappy fries. Also, a Tuna Melt...that had cheese not even melted! Told the waiter twice that there was an issue and was told the tuna melt was not supposed to be warm in the middle!?!? No reduction of bill either. I used a debit card for my chicken sandwich and a vodka soda and walked out after charges for a debit card of $26.00! Ridiculous. Oh! And no silverware brought.. even after asking twice for it. Small town good food with friendly...

This place has been recommended so many times by so many of my friends that I decided to give it a try for lunch. I passed on the appetizer although I noticed they had fried mushrooms on the menu. The menu is pretty deep, this place is way more than a main street bar selling standard bar food. My Billie Jo's Burger was pretty impressive. The beef patty was perfectly charbroiled and they were generous with the veggies. Seemed like the entire platter was piled with fries and burger. They got the good krinkle cut fries! That guy cooking knocked it out of the park. Service was perfect and the bar was kinda cool, I highly recommend it. Looking forward to eating here again. They also sell artisian loaves of sourdough bread. So...
