Port O Call — Restaurant in Algonac

Given the problems businesses are having getting help and supplies, our experience was excellent. The staff that is there works hard and is very friendly. The menu was limited, but what we did order was large and tasty. The soft pretzel is large enough for 4+! My hand is very large, size 12 plus glove, and the pretzel dwarfed it. It was as tasty as it was big. Very good.

The young people working there (14 yo) are very nice, polite and give hope for the future. Wish I knew the young man's name that brought the soft pretzel. He's a great young man.

Outside at the Tiki after dinner we hung out Friday and Saturday night and had a great time. Well until the mosquitoes try to carry you off. Morgan and John were great bartenders. They put in a long day and work hard. They served us at noon after the pool, and after dark before bed.

Looking forward to returning...

This is the first time at a restaurant that I did not even receive a meal. Was there last Wednesday. I ordered the Ceviche for dinner and was told after an hour of waiting, and 15 minutes after the rest of my group received their food that they were out of Ceviche. I then ordered the steak tips and waited an additional 45 minutes and found out that the order was never put in. I ended up eating half of my wife's dinner and did not receive any meal of my own after over 2 hours of being there. The waitress even charged me for the Ceviche that they were out of. The beers were good and everyone else's food looked good. I paid over $100 for a group of four and never even received my own meal. Worst service ever. Two stars for the 3 good tasting steak tips I robbed...

If I was rating based on food only, this place would get 5 stars. Ads state the restaurant has been renovated. Maybe it was just the kitchen, as it had the same decor as it did 10 yrs ago. When we checked in at the hostess station, a server took our name (on a note card) and said it would be about an hour and half wait...even with several tables open and 4 servers standing around the hostess station chatting. Went to the bar for a drink. Had to check back in with the hostess for a table (even more tables were available at this point), we were seated and sat for several minutes before someone acknowledged us. This same girl (wish I remembered her name) wasn’t assigned to our table, but ended up taking very good care of us and...
