This is the worst Chinese restuarant I've ever been to. I ordered a carry out, the female owner could not speak or understand English very well, which made me leary. I ordered a dish not on the menu, (first mistake) and the owner claimed she could make it. When I got home, it was something completely differant, I drove back to return it. Instead of being gracious business owners and taking ownership for a mistake, the owners, both husband and wife were there at this time, insisted this is what was ordered, would not correct the order or refund the money spent on it. Who does business in this manner??? It is my opinion they stole money from ME since they would not correct or refund it. The decor is very plain, there is never anyone in this place customer wise. Trust me, it is worth the extra 10 minute drive to Marine City to Won Ton Palace, its a true Chinese restuarant that still serves ABC with green onion, lettuce AND ALMONDS !! The service there is excellant, don't waste your time and give donations to No 1 China because if its wrong or not tasting good, they won't fix it at this place, they'll only keep your money,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe are so bummed! I hate that I have this opinion because they're the only game in town, it's clean, and the young man at the cash was so sweet. -Almond chicken was a thin and dry batter, and overcooked. -The shrimp is breaded, like frozen shrimp, (not saying it's frozen, but one could mistake it) not battered and golden/fluffy/greasy, and also overcooked. -Fried rice was dry and looked like it came out of a bag! -I am so sorry to say this but the wonton soup tasted old and the dumplings in it were tough!
Ultra bummed because we never order out, and wanted to try our local Chinese restaurant since we recently moved here. Won't be able to give them a second chance. I can't risk to throw my money...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I'm new to the area and figured I would give this place a try since I have been wanting some Chinese food. The egg roll was huge and delicious. My son enjoyed his sweet and sour chicken, and I enjoyed the fried pork dumplings. I however didn't care for their version of steak kow. It just wasn't at all what I'm used to from other places and I definitely wasn't expecting the heat that they added to it. I also wasn't a fan of the fried rice, it just had a weird taste to me. Not sure if the oil was outdated that they used or maybe they just use a different oil than I'm used to. I am willing to give them another try in the future, I'll just try something other than the steak...
