I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Antigua restaurant and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the entrance, I was captivated by the restaurant's stunning ambiance and picture-worthy surroundings.
The restaurant's interior is a harmonious blend of elegance and warmth. The attention to detail in the decor is evident, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The beautiful lighting, comfortable seating, and tasteful artwork all contribute to an enjoyable dining experience. We ordered the Tampiqueña and Zacatecas dish, I must say, the flavors exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend trying this dishes. Both dishes were bursting with flavor, and the meat was incredibly tender. Each bite was a delightful symphony of tastes, leaving me craving for more. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that every diner leaves satisfied.
The quality of service was exceptional. Miguel was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, The staff was more than willing to offer recommendations and answer any questions we had. Throughout the meal, our glasses were never empty, and the staff ensured that we had everything we needed to enhance our dining experience.
In conclusion, my experience at la antigua was nothing short of exceptional. From the breathtaking ambiance to the mouthwatering dishes and impeccable service, every aspect of my visit left a lasting impression. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a memorable dining experience with friends, I highly recommend the Antigua Mexican Grill, It is a place where culinary excellence meets a captivating ambiance, guaranteeing a truly...
Read moreWe went on a Friday night, so it was REALLY busy. We put our name in for 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids) and waited. Some ladies put their name in right after us. We noticed the ladies got seated before us (4 people in their party). We weren't happy about that, so went to check what happened, and they said our table was ready. A little annoying.
Our table was warped. The tabletop was high in the middle, and low on the sides, so things had a tendency to roll off. Not the best thing for kids, and it's kinda uncomfortable in general. Not sure if ours was the only one like that, or if they're all that way.
It was SUPER loud in the restaurant! To the point that you had to shout to be heard, which only adds to the noise. This upset our youngest, so people with kids (or even adults with hearing issues) be aware of this. Go when it's not so busy.
The restaurant itself is on the second floor, and it appeared that the elevator was out of service... So wheelchairs, strollers, etc will have a tough time. The hostess stand was also on the second floor. So you have to go up to see how long you have to wait for a table. If you want to wait, there's no seating to wait, so it just clogs up with people standing at the top of the stairs. I'd suggest having the hostess stand on the ground floor with some seating for waiting.
The food was good, the drinks were great! Food prices are reasonable. Drink prices are a little high.
I'll try it again either when it's not so busy, or...
Read moreWas able to check out this restaurant with 3 other folks to try the new place. Service was slow, our food was bland. 3 of us ordered the Catrina Fajitas, which consists of shrimp, chicken and steak. While it was the right temperature, it was missing flavor, seasoning. It was tasteless. Another person ordered the Mar y Tierra, and the shrimp over the steak was cold. Not something described on the menu, The server was polite and nice, took it back and she did the best she could by that time we were all done tasting it, and didn't even want to take leftovers home. It wasn't busy, so I can only assume it is the way the it's supposed to be served to their standards. ( meaning, they weren't that busy to miss out on steps to prep the food). Drinks were slow as well, had to go find a server. We got to a point, where we would order in advance because we learned it would take an additional 40 minutes to get it. Awe! The place and atmosphere is very nice! Service needs improvement or additional support, and food needs seasoning and perfection. It's not a cheap street food or fast food restaurant, therefore we expect good food. Smaller restaurants get it right! I know they can too. My recommendation, is taste your foods, judge them, take the feedback and run with it quickly before folks no longer want to give it a second try. I will come back in 30 days to check it out again. I am really hoping it was just a different cook, or just a bad day. Keep up the great work with...
