Xing Fu Tang — Restaurant in Alhambra

Went here in Monday night when it was raining light. This has been my favorite boba since I tried their originals from other countries , then when they opened in Rowland Heights, and I was super excited to finally have it opened in my area.

They don't pick up any calls. Period. I tried to place an order to pick up, but they didn't pick up my calls. When I came in, there weren't many people like around 3 guests ahead of me waiting for their drinks. I was able to place my order right away.

I ordered the regular boba milk and strawberry milk. I don't have anything to say about the drinks because they taste good. We'll they use stir fried warm boba, so it's hard to mess up the taste. Their service. Omg. There were like 5 or 6 people working on the drinks for the customers and it took foreverrrrrr to do my drinks. I really understand that their intention is to make it as perfect as possible, maintain the brand as accurate as possible, but the staff works very slow.. They wiped my drinks not one or twice but like three times, and I feel like it's such a waste of time throughout the process of getting my drink when there were not even a lot of people there..

I hope they can improve the speed on making the drinks, like coming up with more creative flows to reduce the process time, or changing the tools, idk. Their torch kept running out the flames. Maybe if they invest on the better or bigger one, it will reduce the time waiting for the staff finding which torch works.

I hope they will improve soon! They have plenty of parking...

May 2022 - I typically do not give 1 star reviews but today's star is mainly for the service. Come here only if you want lukewarm service and milk.

Food/Pricing - Paid $6.50 + $0.76 extra for upsize. Came in a group and spent a total of $34 (including tip) for 4 drinks. Not cheap. Got the Dalgona coffee boba milk less ice with no boba (my first mistake).

Service/Ambiance - Friendly service but not equipped to resolve customer complaints at all. I usually don't complain to establishments unless I'm really dissatisfied so I was sitting there for a bit contemplating before finally deciding to go back in to let them know that we expected it to taste at least a tiny bit like coffee or anything really. The cashier proceeded to repeat multiple times that coffee just sits at the top so it just tastes like milk and syrup (she pointed at the brown sugar drink on their menu and said it tastes like that). Yes, I've made dalgona at home and I fully understand what it is. My issue was I just paid $7.26 for dalgona coffee but got some brown foam and milk and some syrup. If you're going to be selling milk, please advise customers to keep the boba in the drink. If you're going to advertise coffee in the milk, then at least make it properly and have a taste something like coffee. The photo for the dalgona on their menu is nothing like what I received. But the service sealed the deal of not returning.

There are many other milk tea places that have more reasonable prices and much better customer service.

Ok ok ok ok ok ok soooo here's the thing right so like I'm not a bubble tea expert by any means but this place was rly good I really liked it a lot like I really liked it idk if you can tell lol. Huge shoutout to the aceflyer for not gatekeeping and taking me here. The boba was super fresh and you could see them making it right in front of you. I got the brown sugar milk boba drink and it was soooo good like rly yummy I loved it 😝😝😋😋😋. The boba was still warm and reallllyyy chewy omg so yummy but the drink was like suuupeeer sweet ok but that might have been my fault I didn't ask for less sweetness oopsies 😭. The price was a little high but hey tell me one boba place that isn't am I right LOL. The workers were all really chill and super nice and I was surprised it wasnt line out the door the drink came rly quickly too which was cool. There was a lot of space inside but no seating but they had a dedicated seating area with tables and stuff outside so they got it all planned out don't worry they gotchu. They had this cool fortune telling thing in the corner too which was cool I had never seen anything like it. You got to keep your fortune too, at least I kept mine, idk if I was supposed to or not, but I did, I'm so sorry if I wasnt 😭😭😭🙏🙏. Anyways really cool place highly recommend. 5/5 10/10 Dave...
