168 Market — Local services in Alhambra

Normally I love 168 market, but I felt very othered in this one. It first started when I was in checkout and a customer behind me was talking to the cashier about my items (I cannot understand the language but the body language and pointing made it obvious) and they laughed. I can only assume it's because I had mostly instant and hot food, but I will never know what they said The cashier seemed to be repeating something and I only understood the word "bag" and not anything else, and given how she was just chatting with the customer behind me and also not looking at me, plus I didnt understand her, I didnt reply. She eventually turns to me and angrily asks if I want a bag, which I felt bad about because I realized then that she might have been asking me if I wanted a bag the whole time and I didn't realize so I reply with "sorry, yes please" and she basically threw it/flung it at me. I that point gave a little look to the person I came with to see if they saw what happened, and she proceeded to be nice and say something along the lines of thank you, have a nice day

I returned a day after to accompany someone else and got the same cashier, I asked her if my 168 card was okay to scan as some of the barcode had rubbed off, and instead of reaching for the card, she very quickly pulled my whole hand and almost twisted my wrist, it honestly hurt a bit but mostly surprised me I like to believe the best in people and hope it was a misunderstanding, but it was a bit much. It left me feeling not welcomed by her

I have never had issues with the one in walnut. This experience makes me appreciate the employees...

Please excuse my English was not that good , I always like to buy grocery from 168 market in Alhambra store in Los Angeles , price right , lots of selections and lots of hard working employees , but just recently when I try to buy a 12 pack of Lacroix Sparkling Water price was posted $5.09 and while at the Check Out the register showed $5.09 also , the lady said it was the old price and ask for assistant , and there came a heavyset lady with the authority of 慈禧 或 武則天 in the year of 2022 , she ripped open the box without telling what she was going to do and said to other lady the price was 60 cents each , of cause the items still your while I have not pay yet , but I was buying the item as price posted and case whole without damage and not ripped open , so I told her ( TO BRING IT TO HER HOME in Cantonese if she is not willing to sell ) I left without buying , any pricing mistake is the store's problem , not with their customers , I will still coming to your store to shop , one particular employee is not going...

I shop there twice a month to get most of my groceries. Generally it has fresh produce and reasonable prices. The last several visits at the meat department, however, were not pleasant at all. The staff behind the counter appeared unhappy to be there and unwilling to assist the customers. I waited to be served but the staff was talking among themselves and acting like we were transparent. Never a smile or even a courtesy exchange of words. I bought some pork ribs and asked them if they can cut it for me. First guy flat out said no rudely, the second guy came along and said if I will go pay for it first and then bring it back, he will cut it for me. With a full cart of groceries, I didn't want to checkout and then bring the meat back for cutting. The customer service at the meat department does not exist. Think I will start shopping at other Asian...
