Assante Italian Market — Local services in South Whitehall Township

Had a chance to check out this great addition for foodies ( especially italian foodies) in the Lehigh Valley. It's their first day but they already have a nice selection of italian treats, meats, cheeses, pasta, olive oils and other high quality italian cooking necessities. We ordered 2 paninni to go and they were fabulous. I had the Caprese with some of the best fresh mozzarella I have ever had, and my husband has the italiano which had a great selection of meats and he loved it. The bread had that great rustic crunch on the outside with that soft flavorful center which had the perfect balance without being overly chewy. So excited to have these high quality italian options in our neighborhood. Im looking forward to seeing what else they bring as they grow. More paninnis and prepared food options would be awesome! I will be getting things here for holiday gatherings including their incredible fresh barrata to put smiles on everyone's faces. Also reward yourself and get an amazing paninni! It's so nice having an Italian market nearby for Italian staples (imported meat and cheeses) and fresh sandwiches.

I have always gone to Quakertown to do my Italian shopping, which is a long drive for me. I usually get cheese and mortadella with capicola. I was able to get that all here and it is delicious.

They make sandwiches that are amazing (see image). They are stocked with Italian drinks, sweets and pasta. Oils and delicacies.

And the guys behind the counter are awesome. Very personable and funny. Great conversation.

IF I was more of a baked good fan, I would make the trip to Quakertown to Mercatino. For everything else I like that...

For a business just starting in the area they’re doing a great job. I’ve been here 2 times, first when they just opened and then today Jan 3 2025. Their sandwiches are fantastic. Worth every penny because of how unique they are. The bread is absolutely delectable and doesn’t fill you up or make you feel bloated. The quality of the sandwiches was nothing like I’ve ever experienced in Pennsylvania. My woman and I were both blown away. Not to mention the gentleman remembered me from the first time I visited… just says a lot about the kind of people that runs the place....
