Franca's Italian Kitchen and Bar — Restaurant in Alpine

If come here for dinner, you can expect to eat some of the absolute best Italian food you will have probably ever had. One of my favorite appetizers happens to be the bruschetta, it's full of so much flavor, I could probably eat the entire appetizer all to myself. The meatballs are also really good, they're made with beef & pork, can't go wrong there. If you're looking for something, a little bit different, I would highly recommend the asiago gnocchi, the pesto sauce is absolutely fantastic. I also really loved the rigatoni Diavolo, a dish with lots of spice and flavor. As far their pizzas, go, by far the best pizza would have to be the roasted garlic chicken pizza, the sauce they use on that pizza is out of this world.

This restaurant is a relatively new operation in the former 'Donato's'. The decor is lightened up and feels roomier. It's definitely family friendly so if you're looking for a quiet dinner, try later in evening than we did(6PM). The food was a split decision. I had the Rigatoni fra Diavolo with a dinner Caesar salad. The salad was overdressed for my taste. My Rigatoni was great, just the right amount of sauce with perfect heat (spice). My wife ordered the Lasagna El Forno. Her dish was swimming in sauce to the point she couldn't find the Lasagna. When she did fish out the pasta, she was very disappointed. She ended up finishing my salad. The service was great and everyone...

11/15: we had a group there, service was great, food came hot and reasonable time considering they were pretty busy and 2 other large groups.

I had the fettuccine Alfredo......which was meh. Flavor was very mild. Not sure which they left out, but something.

11/7: I had a double pepperoni pizza....which I love, but I may have to try regular next time...that was a lot of pepperoni...I mean a lot.

On a Tuesday night at 6pm, the place was pretty full and very very busy. Staff was friendly, place was clean. You could see everyone was busy.

As of 10/23, the place changed hands to Franca's, same family, and the place was nicely cleaned up...
