Janos Pizza — Restaurant in California

Get the bbq chicken pizza !! Came when I was in the area and wanted to try this spot with my wife and 2 kids. We ordered 2 pizzas, calzone, and roast beef sandwich and my wife got a salad. We anticipated to take some left overs home. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather in alpine. My wife got salad, and she was stunned how good the dressing was. She asked the owner what kind of dressing they have on the side and the owner pointed to the bottle of their own home made dressing. My wife ended up buying a bottle of the Janos homemade dressing because she said it was amazing! Then our pizzas came, we got the Mediterranean and the bbq chicken. My favorite was the bbq chicken. They don’t use chicken nuggets on their pizza like other places they use real chicken ! I used the Janos dressing on the pizza and it tasted so good! We got the calzone with extra cheese and we all had one piece and we loved it! I was surprised how amazing their roast beef sandwich was! We split into 4 so we each got a good portion because it was a huge size. And yes I used the dressing on thier too 😂😂. Went home with some amazing leftovers and the pizzas were still yummy ! Can’t wait...

There’s two reasons that people read reviews. The first is to find out if the food is any good, the second is to find out if they provide good service. Janos is my go to pizza spot in Alpine, not that I don’t sample elsewhere, but Janos gives you that small town, hometown feeling. They’re warm, inviting, and they go above and beyond good family people the kind of people that you would want to be friends with. I ordered a pizza on slice, my son was supposed to go pick it up. He showed up about a half hour after they close and they waited for him. They didn’t complain they didn’t get mad. They just gave him his pizza.

I spent $44 there today and it all taste frozen. I got a meatball sandwich the meatballs taste frozen the bread does not taste good or fresh taste like frozen bread. I also got two cheese pizzas by the slice which it didn’t even look like a normal slice of pizza it looked who knows what it looked like Tasted frozen the sauce taste like it was out of a jar. The cheese bread was just an oval-shaped pizza without the sauce. and the girl who rang me up on the register had to keep looking at the menu to make sure she was putting the prices right so who knows if I got overcharged or whatever I got off of work I’m tired and I wanted a good Italian...
