I just got yelled at and insulted by the manager at this restaurant. I am still shaken. My friend, visiting from California and I visited there because we are hungry after running errands. We entered, and had to call out loud before the woman serving came, frowning, looking like she didn't want to serve. I asked why she seemed like that, and she said that her English was bad. So, I ordered Hunan Shrimp, and an appetizer, but to our surprise, she brought the main course I didn't order, brought in socalled beef hunan without the appetizer. My friend and I wanted to know why, she said, "Appetizer not ready," calling me hun, but cutting her eyes angrily. She was more and more upset at every turn, every question. I tried eating the slab of mess she called hunan beef sauce, but it was so bad. I did not eat it, and when I reported to the manager, who seems to be her partner or husband, he began to yell at me, literally insulting me. I told him I would rate him poorly, and he said, "Go ahead, tell everyone. And you say you're a professor, the Chinese students don't like you all because they don't understand all the professors." I couldn't stand the rudeness and yelling, and we left with him continuously insulting us. I have never seen anything like this before. I will never eat at so called place again and will tell my friends about this very disrespectful couple. They don;t know how to...
Read moreY'all haters be trippin' and I mean that from my soul. Having previously lived in Boston and Pittsburgh, it sincerely warms my heart to find such a gem in our local neighborhood. Disclaimer: we have only tried their takeout, both over the phone and through their website. Both ordering processes were quick and easy. The sesame chicken was good. I recommend pairing with white rice to let the chicken shine. It is a little sweet for my palate so if you like a milder sweetness, try General Tso's. Do yourself another favor and order extra rice on the side to soak up all that sauce. IMHO the real winner is the Chicken Pad Thai. We were also impressed with the Chicken Teriyaki (chicken-on-a-stick) and Crab Rangoon starters. My husband is less adventurous and usually sticks to Chicken Fried Rice. He's a picky man and prefers the rice a little more well done, but it's no problem for him to throw the rice in a wok or cast iron and finish it off the way he prefers it. Better to "undercook" then to serve crispy, dry rice, and it's also better for reheating. Similarly, he's picky about his chicken fingers but appreciates that they were clearly homemade, as were the rangoons. Everything was fresh and perfectly fried. Good portions. Fair prices. 10/10 will be...
Read moreUsually like this place, but a recent experience made me never want to order again....
I work at a restaurant and was trying to order food for staff. I ordered fried wontons, crab rangoons, and orange chicken at 12:30 for ASAP delivery. Order wasn't delivered till 2:30. Not only was my food so cold I could scoop the entire plate of chicken in my spoon, I was charged and extra $2 upon delivery because it was "so far away".... 1. I had ordered delivery before (maybe 2 weeks prior)to the same location and didn't have this upcharge, 2. Why wasn't this added onto the total at checkout? I wouldn't have paid the $4 delivery of I had known it would be that much... I should have declined the delivery but I was too hungry to do so.. All of it was virtually inedible anyway. My first bad experience ordering here, but it will be my last...
