Foods been on line sense they prob opened they didnt bother taking the pizza away til they saw me taking a picture and they did bring out fresh chicken and tato wedges and then they just dumped them on the old stuff that's been at above room temperature barley sense they opened. So the food in the picture is at the bottem of the new stuff so whosoever coming here tonite enjoy this mornings chicken just dig to bottem and you got breakfast. Soda has a weird taste to it like rose water and does not taste of any soda known to man and the main thing that brought me here was the fact that our cactus bread we got last night they delivered tasted and smelt like pepperoni pizza and the only answer the boss man could come up with is they must of cut it with the dirty pizza cutter instead of the desert cutter which allowed the grease from the pizza to absorb into the cactus pizza so all you veggie eaters who thou it was just the scent in there cactus bread... welcome to non vegytom.

Fantastic service and atmosphere. The establishment was well maintained. It was clean and the tables and chairs were nice and clean. The decorations were nice. The food was ok. At $23/person (tax and tips) is pretty pricey for limitrd pizza options and overcooked chicken. The salad bar was pretty impressive. Most of the lettuce seems old. But the rest were above the normal standard. I love they have various dressings available. The chicken were overcook, but the seasoning was nice. Juicer chicken would be perfect. The pizza options were limited. We were there at 415pm. Maybe it's the wrong time, however paying $16.99 for a salad bar and a couple pieces of chicken seems steep. Overall, it's a fun place to bring the kiddos. The service was outstanding, with friendly staff. Unless you are craving salad bar, I would recommend ordering pizza from another location and enjoy your pizza at home and save some money.

Pretty bad, had this door dashed, but between the dasher and the old pizza dough it was overall not a good experience. The pizza tasted like they pulled it off their buffet. Ordered taco pizza, tasted like they took an old pizza and added some taco stuff to it. The photos are exactly how the pizzas were when we opened the boxes. "Reply to response from Owner Having the ability to see the location of the dasher and having ordered from multiple different vendors, the quality of the dasher does not affect the quality of the material to build the pizza. Also, stores can require dashers to put their specific items into warm bags or other vessels to transfer food. The pizza tasted like it was left for 4 or 5 hours. Thank you for your reply, unfortunately, looking at the reviews for the past 3-5 months indicates this problem goes beyond the delivery service your company has chosen to utilize.

I’ve only ever been to the Pizza Ranch in Ankeny and decided to try the one in Altoona. Extremely disappointed. The minute we walked in there were dirty tables every where and the cashier had to serve us. 15 dollars per person was absolutely ridiculous for the food the served. The featured food item wasn’t even in the buffet, and there was close to nothing to actually choose to eat. Imagine paying that much money for a slice of dessert and ice cream (the only enjoyable food there). There was hardly any choice as far as pizza. When you ask for a specialty pizza, they only let you have a fee slices per person at the table and then put the rest of the pizza on the buffet. Where the hell do you go to a restaurant featuring pizza where they dont serve basics like pepperoni, cheese, and sausage pizza unless you specifically ask for it??? And when we got there, all the dessert trays were empty. After an half hour of being there they were finally filled again, but seeing as they were the only edible thing there, everyone in the restaurant took their share and there was, once again, no dessert. Later on I went into the women's bathroom and was surprised at how dirty it was. There was pee on one of the toilet seats, and the floor was INCREDIBLY slippery. There was no “wet floor” sign put up. The experience over all was extremely irritating. Not to mention the fact that in 93 degree weather there was hardly any AC! Do not eat here! Extremely expensive for an obviously very...

Some of the best fried chicken in town, and more chicken is brought out frequently to fill up the pan. There's also potatoes, gravy, a vegetable and fries. Some of the items like the fries, are a little salty for my taste. The pizzas are excellent, and they ask customers if there is any pizza they would like to have so I ordered their TACO PIZZA which was DELICIOUS. They brought a right-out-of-oven hot Taco pizza. I gobbled down two pieces. The TACO pizza is covered with retried beans, chips, lettuce, etc. There's plenty of other types of pizza already out which are all exceptionally good. The dessert pizzas are usually cherry, blueberry, apple and peach. Not all flavors are available at the same time, but they keep bringing out more pieces, and they all DELICIOUS. The salad bar has varied items including fruit and pudding. The green salad items are good but not the best available around. The salad bar needs to be monitored more to keep foods from being dropped into other items. The salad bar could do with improvement. Pizza Ranch runs frequent fundraisers for numerous organizations. The groups involved in the fundraiser help out at the restaurant, and they have a collection jar for donations too. Family atmosphere and...
