Happy Takos — Restaurant in Alvin

We stopped going through the drive through because the regular guy at the window ALWAYS gets the order wrong no matter how many times you repeat and break it down for him. We also started ordering online because the drive thru takes forever. They need to figure something out to make it extra speedy for people who ordered ahead.

The food is ok. Not the best, but also not the worst. We stick to breakfast for tacos because you can’t really screw up eggs. My husband has tried other dishes and has always been disappointed. I did try a few of his meals and also was not impressed. Meat seemed very fatty times. Tacos are sometimes extremely salty….so buyer beware if you have high blood pressure. This is also why I like to order online because I can specify no salt. I’m sure you can tell them on the phone/in person but I like to see it and have proof that’s how I ordered it.

They also mix up your order. This is super annoying as I am very limited on what I can eat at the moment and it’s a little far to just go back and forth until they get it right. Yes, I should check my order before I leave but they should also make sure it’s the right one. Say I open it to make sure the order is correct. What if I’m sick? What if I sneeze while checking the order? And I see that the order is wrong?…how do you know this restaurant will give you your untainted order that I already sneezed on while checking it? Refunding the order doesn’t fix my hunger or reimburse my gas and time wasted on picking up the order that should have been checked by a paid employee in the...

Alright, alright, alright. Hello everyone. BigBoi coming at you with an outstanding place to enjoy, take out, have a celebration. Yes all that. Happy Takos. That's right Takos with a K. Any way from the moment I walked in the door I liked what I saw. Clean, neat, organized and the floor really caught my eye. The design and colors. Ok it is awsome and goes all the way into the restroom. Which was clean as H*LL. The decorations on the wall are very nice and unique. There are some musician murals painted on plexiglass that you should know. If not ask the team about them. I'm not telling or saying. You will have to find out for yourself. The waitress we had was on top of things like a ghost. Like you look up and she was there. Always checking. That's customer service for you. The menu selection is great a (tako), you catch that? A Tako of all kinds. So much I had a few things I wanted to try. But I eased in. It's a good thing I did cause I was full. The portions served are just right. The prices are very acceptable. We at for three. Celebrating my wife's day after birthday with one of her girlfriends. Three tacos, 2 lettuce wraps, small margarita, refried beans and rice. I wanted a burrito but like I said, I eased into it. (NO room). Great place, good location and eveyone on that team was awsome. Kepp up the good work. I shall return. With my friend who has friends and his friends who have friends and I think that's it. Try Happy Takos. I really really really believe you won't be disappointed....

This is much more than a taco place, so let's get that out there right now!

They do have a small dining area so you can enjoy your food there and not have to take it home.

So let's run down the five stars they earned and even give some slight criticisms.

Ambiance: the facility is new so that's kinda easy but the style that the owners used was what was great! Beautiful red floors, contrasted with dark ceilings, and good art on the walls. (Where did yall get that bomb AC?!)

Food: street tacos with amazing flavor! I tried three things on the menu and was taken back by how fast I was filled up!

Service: now we did have somewhat of a small service hick up with our order but the way it was handled was amazing! Everything was corrected and even the manager came out to make sure we were Okay! It's hard to compare the inside service since the area is so small but I'd say Buffalo Wild Wings esk?

Overall the experience was amazing and we will be back.

Now let's give some criticism so yall folks don't think they paid me for this.

The food can be on the salty side, to me it was amazing, but I'd salt salt if I could but to a normal person it could be on the salty side.

This piece will be over once the location is done with full construction but it was a slight irritation that they had people working on the facility on rickety scaffolding while we were eating. But that AC yall got on the wall......
