Master Chef Eatery 16 — Restaurant in Amite City

Open from morning to about 2 PM except for Friday and Saturday when they are open until 9 PM. Local restaurant with good food and the the full menu is available all day. Yes you can order an oyster poboy for breakfast! Lunch specials are very reasonably priced as well. They have a good breakfast fare which price cannot be beat. Most items served on plastic plates and utensils but don't let that throw you the food is good.

If you like onion rings or fries they make very good ones. The onion rings are very good and are home made style and not those out of a freezer bag types that you get at the chain fast food joints.

Plenty of seating and the breakfast crowd will fill half of the seating, and backup the drive thru lines.

One other thing too. Their wait staff are among the friendliest around. It looks like a fast food joint, but Tony the manager has picked some of the best help. They have never had a bad attitude and will bring your food to your table! And why shouldn't they have a positive attitude? Tony closes Master Chef between Christmas and New Year's so the employees can celebrate the holidays with their friends and families.

First, I recently moved to Louisiana from Georgia. Today was my first time eating here. I went though the drive thru and immediately recieved the BEST customer service I think that I have EVER received courtesy of Ms CoCo. It was taking me a while to look over the menu and when I apologized and told her it was my first time she got excited and then welcomed me and begin to tell me about the specials and not only did she lay it out for me she told me what came on the sandwiches and about the meals. I was on the phone with my friend and he said wow she is great. Her attitude was refreshing. Once I made my order she repeated and thanked me for choosing them for lunch. The smile she put on my face today. I couldn't wait to get to the window to thank her for giving me such great service! Oh yeah and the food was equally as great as the service. I hope that you all realize what a treasure you have in Ms CoCo. I will definitely be back....

Master Chef has ALWAYS been 1 of the BEST places 2 eat n Amite if u don't wanna empty wallet 2 do it lol. Onion rings are 2 die 4. U DEF gotta add salt each time. Not quite sure wut they got against salt, but they def don't use it 2 cook or season wit. Other than that, u CAN NOT BEAT IT!! It's a bit pricy compared 2 sum fast food places, i.e McDonald's, Burger King etc. (it really, isn't 2 much more, if I'm bein honest) However, SOON as u take a bite, u'll see it's worth every penny. Only bad thing; they close @ 2 daily & always have. Moms been takin us here since we're kids & she's been comin since she was 1 too, if that tells u how long it's been here. I say, must b nice makin so much $$ ur Co. is open daily but jus 1/2 a day & still, get by w/o a worry n the world.
